Where will the new Claas 8900 fit in your display case Chris? You will need to sell a whole shelfs worth of models to make room for it😂
Mmmm, I have the model mate and it’s a monster. I have it displayed with the header on and the tank lid extensions on. And, it’s sitting on top of a sideboard as I can’t get it into a cabinet. 😀😀

Don't put up rubbish posts suggesting for one second that a New Holland CR10-90 combine might actually be competitive to, or replaced a Claas machine Andy, or you will have the forums "Green police" coming after you
Interestingly I got to speak to Ernest DOEs combine demonstrator back in February who knew all about the "Intellicruise" system on the 10-90 and how it had massively increased the machines output, and substantiated the claim by a local user here in the fens who was harvesting 80 tons of wheat per hour average across the day with spot rates above 100 tons p.hr. He reckoned the CASE 9250 wasn't far behind either with their version of intellicruise and could well believe the CR10-90 outperformed the Lex 780. HOWEVER, he also said he had had the opportunity to drive a pre production Claas 8900 last summer and that once again Claas had succeeded in lifting the performance bar up to a new level. In wheat it had achieved consistent spot rates in excess of 120 tons per hour!!!!
Mind you, if it doesn't start raining here soon there wont be much tonnage of anything to harvest around the fens
Looking at our wheat, to achieve 80 ton an hour, for a 10 hour cutting day you will cover 226 acres

Nobody will ever be able to criticise farm subsidies ever again, the money being handed out now is a subsidy really, three quarters of the population have got their hand in the till

before I go spouting my mouth off,i have just seen on my local news programme, bbc spotlight, that farmers are asking for volunteers, mainly pickers to work,we all know there is a shortage of these workers, but before this outbreak of this virus farmers would have to pay these workers,i am on furlough leave so I am very very lucky,my wife is self employed, only very recently and wont get anything,i have been asked to go and work for a contractor who I have worked for part time for years, but I will get paid, I am sure there will be people who will volunteer and well done to them, but picking is back breaking hard work,i should know,i have done it, so why are farmers asking for unpaid volunteers
The people they are looking for are people in a position like your wife.....nothing coming in. Volunteer doesn’t mean unpaid, farmers are paying the minimum of the living wage and more in places, based on performance. Self employed people won’t get anything until June, so they can work and not be penalised. Look online for a short film about the self employed grant by Martin Lewis, people like me who are self employed and haven’t lost any income can still claim the grant money......it’s for every eligible person that filed tax returns, work that one out.

Evening Chris, I messaged the seller and asked him if it was a mfm and he said no, he’d done it himself
Hello Charlie mate. Long time no see thanks for the info. For a DIY cut down, I think he has made a good job of that. Finish looks good to me mate.

It doesn’t look like one of martins to me as that one hasn’t had the bonnet or engine cut down, along with the fact the wheels haven’t been changed from the original ones
To be honest Hugh, I thought it looked like a new cast engine, Bonnet does look the right length to me to be a four pot. Still, nice little tractor though. See what you reckon side by side, the 3350 is a standard Britain’s.

A JD 2850 convo that is just a shorted Britains 3650 and nothing more went for €225 with a heavy postage cost also. Madness.. I would prefer my orginal untouched 3650 ..100 times over..

I took that to £155 then bailed out. It looks to me that it might be a Martin Reeve piece, as the workmanship is very good.

Zac has taken the time and effort to put something worthwhile on this forum and started this thread. If people wish to take the p@ss and make coments please do it amongst yourselves via messenger. Martin made a lighthearted comment and the reply’s have gone sour. My finger is poised over the post approval and eviction button....if anyone has a problem with that, please pm me. Some posts have been removed by admin as they are irrelevant to this topic.

Merry Christmas to all, my day didn’t start very well at first light when I went to move the electric fence on the fodder beet field and 120 heifers were nowhere to be seen luckily they hadn’t gone far and an hour later they were where they should be

How good or bad is the Wiking Deere 6125 model?
I have one, excellent model. We had the real one for 3 years, then chopped it for a 6130. The model scale is spot on in my opinion. Detail is excellent.
