Thats it I'm fitting a TV in the tractor, another day without Fern and Phillip to keep me going is just not on >
Just remember that Mr Powerstar, mines 3 times bigger than yours ;D :D
I haven't really got any hence why there in "What machinery did you see working today?? - without getting photos" :D :D
I've got some of me with the tedder and the Valtra M and mowers :P
Mowers and us tedders were working together as were the rake and baler and all the tractors and trailers carting, the poor wrapper is on it's own though except for a John Deere 3140 and loader, unloading the trailers as they dropped them off ;)
The John Deere 6920S is fitted with a Quicke Q980 loader, the 6420S is fitted with a JD 651 loader I think and the MXU is fitted with a Quicke Q960 ;) ;)
Guess what we've been on with over the last few days ;D
Valtra M150 with Claas Disco 3050 front and rear mowers
John Deere 6420 with Kuhn GF 7601 tedder
MF 6180 with Kuhn GF 7601 tedder (Me )
McCormick MC135 with Claas Liner 880 rake
New Holland TM 165 with NH BB 940A baler
Case CS 150 with 30ft flat trailer
Case MXU 135 with with flat trailer
John Deere 6420S with 26ft flat trailer
John Deere 6920S with 32ft flat trailer
Valtra M150 (as above) with Mchale 998 wrapper
The owner before me must of ballasted the tyres with water, as the inside of the rim is very rusty. With that and alot of road work it's decided to crack \ \ :
You've had it done before then ;D
Just after we had finsihed mowing 5 acre of grass for haylage. All went smoothly, only tried the autoswather on a few the headlands though, using that will take some getting used too :D
Here's some pics of the newly purchased Taarup 307 mower with autoswather. We only really bought it for the gearbox as I blew the other one up on our other Taarup mower, but the 307 is such a sound mower (at the moment \) that were going to run this instead and keep hunting for another gearbox :.
Greasing and oiling everything up before we set off to work. The paint work really does need quick buff up with some oil, talk about drib, drab : :D
I get quite alot of work for haylage and hay so no silage work isn't all that bad. I've given up explaining the benefits of tedding out silage to farmers they just don't want to know let alone pay a wee ?4 an acre for it. There loss, not mine :D :
I put it down to farmers being too tight and stuck in there ways texas. I run a Kuhn 7601 tedder and trying to get work in front of a chopper is impossible. Farmers think a tedder is for drying grass and thats that, but a tedder also breaks up the waxy layers of the grass, releasing the sugars and in turn making better feed, try telling them that though. Most farmers think a mower conditioner is good enough to do a tedders job, little do they know :o \
Indeed Ol, been very sunny and warm.
Your right they suck the slurry in through that pipe, theres also one on the side of the tank near the drawbar too
