  2. It's even got bars on the windows to keep you in  ;D

The door keeps sticking too, I tried head butting the window to get out as the 'gearbox' was too loud, I only managed to crack the glass though :-\ :-\

My manitou i had all summer had a 'gearbox' and i loved the thing i never used the clutch once in the whole 400hrs i used it, i changed gear using the shuttle by whacking it into neutral and changing gear then putting it back into forward worked same as a clutch, even when breaking it disengaged clutch automatically. So why is Matbro's were gearbox is terrible ??? dont loose as much power through the drive in a gearbox which was perfect for grain pushing as i've stalled em on grain pushing ???

    :o :o :o

Get in a powershift and then see which one you prefer. Yes you may lose some power but lifes alot easier just twisting a lever or pressing a button to change gear, especially when mucking out sheds, loading the feeder wagon etc. One arm steering, one arm controlling the boom and then oh bugger i need to change gear then you need 2 arms and a 14lb sledge hammer to get the gears in that 'gearbox' into gear. Each to there own though ;) ;)

  3. Blimey Nath... fingers crossed for you then mate.... whatever next... you may well get blisters on your hands mate  :o :o :o :o

Don't worry Marky it comes with a Neutrogena Autolube as standard, about the only things thats good about it ;) ;)

Sounds like you're not having a nice time of it mate...... :-\

It's actually quite a big clumsy looking machine the TS isn't it mate......Is it a lot harder to move around the farm in compared to the TR?

Our Merlo is away at the menders this week too, all it wants to do is reverse...... :o;)

It's a lot more clumsy than I thought it would be Mart, our yards and feed passages are quite tight in places and with the TS being quite a bit wider and longer than the TR it takes some shunting backwards and forwards to get were you want to to go, even with it's excellent turning circle ;) ;)

Our old Matbro kept wanting to reverse everywhere at one stage, the pins had come out of the mech shuttle :o I'm guessing the Merlo uses an electric shuttle, which makes the problem a little harder to solve :-\ :-\

  4. Gearbox  :o

That really must be a "bottom of the range" piece of kit then Nath... how long will the TR250 take to repair mate  ???

    Don't mention  the "gearbox" >:( >:(

I want powershift, I've never yet drivin a teleporter with a "gearbox" there below me, pulling levers and pressing the clutch button, I mean come on were not in the stone age are we ::) ::)

TR should be back with us tomorrow all being well, if not it will be 2007 :-\ Another week of using the gearbox, bu&&er :'( :'(

  5. We blew up the powershift pack in our newly purchased Matbro TR250 last Tuesday :-[:-[ It couldn't cope with the hectic life style on a 350 head mixed farm :D :D Anyway G&R Pyketts collected the poor TR in style (Fendt 930TMS and Kane Lowloader :P) on the same Tuesday and bought this Matbro TS260 to keep us going while they fit the pack. It's horrid to drive, can't see a thing out of it mainly behind and the offside, steers like a tank, has the noisiest gearbox (yes gearbox :o) ever, doesn't have a radio, oh and the heater doesn't work. I so want my piviot steer back :'( :'( :'(
