  1. McCormick suffered the same problem as all big manufacturers. When you have a company such as Argo who own McCormick, Landini etc you do end up with a lot factories and staff doing the same job.  So every now and then you unfortunatly have to have redundancies, factory reshuffles and closures to get the finances back in order.  Factories that needed streamlining in France & Germany can be very difficult as its hard to make anyone redundate due to government pressure etc - so the only way some times is to make the factory in some sense go bust and have the company resturctured and start back up.

Also the press has latched on to the fact that the Doncaster factory has been sold and they rent most of it back. This is a practice that we use - what this does is release the capital in the property which then can be used from new aquisitions or restucturing.  Unfortunatly rumours fly around and it ends up that McCormick needs the money - but be sure manufacturers are not invunerable

Welcome Im faily new to FTF - have been made welcome - and im also addicted to it!!

Ive sold two boxed DX6.50's one made ?110 and the other ?85 I sold a un boxed one for ?48 play worn.

It is correct that the model was made between 1990 - 92 but two versions were made 1990-1991 the tractor had steering but the steering wheel was not connected but in 1991-92 was fitted to a steering link and was given a chrome steering wheel.

    hope this helps -

  3. toptractoruk is selling the dealer box version on ebay at present- he quotes 500 produced as previous fendt Ltd Ed's :)

I did read that the fendt was going to be a 818 a few months back but I agree with FP this must be the model

  4. thanks

It looks like I will be hunting for most of these models without mudguards as I only have the 456 Renault and 446 Class without.

but your saying there are two types of mud guards on the 446! - this is getting impossible! Is there a simple way of identifying the two types of mud guards?

  5. Help required

firstly thanks to Ricky for showing the list of models from UH - I am currently changing to UH and trying to get all the models that have been produced to date- at the moment I am holding back from the sets and different boxes.

Can anyone spend a little time confirming the number of Claas and Renault tractors there are as there is a little confussion in the trade when I ask, some say one thing and others different.  EG some have weights, linkage, mudguards 3 teir bonnets etc on the same model of tractor.

Also I have all the McCorrmicks and Valtras - I noticed that a Blue Valtra with loader was mentioned - was this ever realeased or did they change their mind and make it red for production?
