Yes, that was the model I was referring. Previous ones were lovely and collectables models, including its suspension and driver but in my opinion they were more toys than models, at least compared with the high levels of accuracy of diecast of today. So, it's a mistery to me that when Britains was able to release at last a decent Land Rover Defender 90 SW, it dropped from their catalogue in a pair of years only. I can' t understand the ephemeral life of this good model. I hope any day Britains can reissue this fine model (with better wheels, I agree) in new colours and/or liveries. Thank to all people that reply to my question. If, like me, you love Defenders models to complement your farm layouts, please let you know to Britains.

First of all, please excuse my bad english. Model I'm referring is BTN ref. 42111 in dark green & white roof, named by Britains LR Defender 90 (Hard Top) and with the second reference LRO 1911 (perhaps LRO magazine? I'm collecting BTN Land Rover a lot of years since I was a young people, from the 90 Series 3 models to now and I own almost all references and liveries including the latest ones, as well as the excellent Series One, Freelander, Discovery and Range Rover. My only question is why 42111 is dissapeared from the BTN catalogue and not issued in other colors and liveries as usually does BTN with the exception of its latest Disco, Range and Freelander II. Their Defender 90 pickups are now in their third colour -green, blue and now in red-. I agree that Britains have improved seriously its Land Rover models so it's shame that do not recolors too its 90 SW. (I owned 4 actual Land Rover: a spanish Santana SIII 109 SW, a Defender 90 SW, a 110 SW and a Disco II).

Yes but anybody know why the BTN Defender 90 Hard top (station wagon) was deleted by Britains after one or two years? There's problems with Land Rover that do not find it accurate? Really do you think that is was not a good seller model? I think it would be more logical to recolor every 1 or 2 years as it does with its old Defender toy-models. I assume that Defender are now a very cool vehicle and model as we can see on Bburago, Cararama, Welly, New Ray, Matchbox, Bruder,... so I can't understand that Britains do not release new versions and liveries on it (with the exception of the pickup in red as well as in big scale). I only hope that 2012 will bring us the Bburago 1/32 Defender 110 SW in the promised metallic Green, as well as in other more farm color that the street fashion Ice & Fire released in the past 2011.

Defender 90 pick up are good but why not a decent Double Cab and a 110 SW as does Bburago recently in 1/32? Now that Britains are releasing old renewed tractors models, why not a revised version of his Land Rover 88 Series 3? Or a Hard Top version of his current fine Series One. And a final question: what happened with the Britains Defender 90 SW dissapeared from BTN catalogue? Thanks for your patience...and all the best for the current 2012.

I,m sorry. I know Britains from 1970's and I own a pair of old Britains civilian Jeep model but I can´t remember a Chevrolet pickup. As a 3 x Land Rover ex-owner I miss more Land Rover Defender model in their current range or at least a reliable Mitsubishi L200 double pìckup or any other in use in british farms. If Britains want beaches cars, I know here in Benidorm area several british plates Hummer´s, Dodge Ram, Chevrolet retro furistic pick ups, etc. but do not seems drived by farmers.

I can´t understand Britains with its USA 4x4 farm models. I will never add a generic american pick to my british farm collection models. I like Land Rover or japanese 4x4 Britains models as used on UK and Europe. Why not the Defender in other factory colours, a 110 SW or a 130 double pickup? Britains is not more a british model manufacture but a poor branch of ERTL. Shame...

In the Britains 2008 Catalogue there?s not any new regarding Land Rover Defender (recolour, new variant 110 SW, double cab pickup, etc.). Is there any new, rumours, etc. regarding this subject?

A Defender double cab with canvas would be a very useful model to tow horse box, trailers and other implements and easy to RC2 due that they can use the front side (and part of the rear) of this meccano vehicle. Despite I prefer that they do a 110 SW. Any new regarding a new Land Rover model (or recolour) in 2008 Britains range?

Not yet a good picture of the new Land Rover Defender 90 Hard Top (really a SW) Britains, due past august?
