i know farmer ed very well as he lives 2 minutes from my house, hes a good chap, but hes right about the pricesThe odd couple.
Had a phone call yesterday from Farmer Ed who will be there with a lot of the new stuff, he told me that everyone may be warned that prices have increased. We knew this as it's been reported in the model sections of the various mags but Ed said that Universal Hobbies stuff has gone up by as much as 22% on all their models. Siku an average of £2 per model. Wiking have not as yet put up theirs. Ed will however be keeping his prices competitive on his existing stock. The new stuff which he had a delivery of last week, he had to pay the new prices. He asked me to pass this information on to fellow collectors to say don't rush to buy anything before you compare prices of stallholders as some of them may have hiked the increase of prices onto their older stock. He's a really good guy and likes to help and certainly keeps me informed.

well i have had a look at the 2009 book and there is only the bits that blake put up on page one.
there is no picture of the MF as it reads actual machine not yet launched
for the ford fw 60 it reads all new tooling for actual machine
all the other tractors show the real tractor
the combine header trailer is ok but i'm not impressed
bobcat is ok
the only one i like is the jcb416
it only shows the prototype image ,and its very good so far .
the jd 5430i looks good but lacks a bit in detail but for the price its very good.
-
well i've added the new 2009 prices ,

trouble is its not only UH, siku going up 30% i was told on tuesday by the rep.UH can stick it then!!!
:D
To be honest, I can't say I'm surprised though.... I always thought it was a touch cheap for the level of detailing, but I for one will certainly be putting buying on an even firmer hold than it is already....

got the new price list today, cor hell . the tucano RRP price is now £79.99, mf 135 is £21.99,know what your saying barry, but a 9 quid hike on the deutz seems a little over the top ,specially if the rest seam to be the odd quid or two, nath how much more is the tucano now then??
claas cougar £74.99 , well all i can say is poor collectors
-
nope i rang them up and made them check it twice sean. same with the tucano which is a shame as its a great model. i'm waiting for the whole price list before i pull my hair outthats one hell of a jump for the deutz you sure its not just a print error?? if all the others seem to be the odd pound same with the class, seems way over the top if not, certainly wont be buying so much uh if they go up like that
:D
as it was my birthday yesterday i think i will treat myself to the tucano if it doesn't sell on sunday
-
would say alittle bit of that, its just some models are silly prices now .i'm waiting for the full price list to see whats going on.Would think exchange rates have a lot to do with it
-
yesterday i had a delivery for a show i'm doing at westpoint on sunday and when i opened the invoice i was shocked at some of the price jump. for instance
a deutz k100 was £17.99 RRP its now £28.99
:o
:o
the claas tucano combine you need a morgage for !!!!
:o
:o
every thing else is mostly a pound different
well i think this is mad , and with money the way it is at the moment.
