Maybe a strange or unusual view, but this is a red John Deere bought from a circus...

I worked for  recovery garage for a while and they had a JD 3350 in red, Peter Hardy made a conversion for me, I will see if I can find a photo as it is packed away at the moment

  2. Planning is underway for a few of us to go to this show, it is only around an hour from the ferry port at the Hook of Holland so easier to get to that when it was in Zwolle.

is anyone else from FTF planning on going?

Thanks Robbo , Barry has fuelled up the low loader and I believe might be delivering the 101 today and if theres room he's strapping  a fergy 65 on the back as well ,

Questions I wish I asked Dad before he passed away ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Did Murleys deliver the 101 or was it delivered straight to farm from Gloucester , I remember it not having a cab as he couldnt afford it straight away , spent many a hour sat on the mudguard whilst he was ploughing with a 5 furrow Ransome conventional plough , bet it was a big plough in those days , has anyone scratch built a 5 furrow ransome yet , or a 8 ton Pettit tandem axle trailer , 2 leg cooper subsoiler , 3.5 meter Lely Rotera , 15 row Massey 30 drill on narrow tyres , I suppose to be date accurate it would have to be a Massey 28 drill but I struggle to remember the 28 whereas I learnt to drill on the 65 and fergy 30

I think that Sean (tractorman810), may have done a scratch build of the Pettit trailer, he was tinkering with his new printer thingy some time ago, not sure about the others though. Have a look at his thread on Ash Tree Farm if you want to get some ideas

  4. Welcome to the forum Mark and look forward to your set up. If you haven't already sourced a Muir Hill then you might be able to get one from Udimore Tractor shop, he does have them in from time to time, Bazza is quite a good chap (but don't tell him I said that)

  5. Good luck with that one Hugh, the 836 is the rarest version of both the Renault and Claas models, some go for big money. I sold one at Zwolle a couple of years ago for 100 euros and they very rarely come up

  6. It shows how much things have changed Gav, you are working 750ha with 3 tractors, the last farm that I worked on in 1980 was 1500 acres and had 7 tractor drivers, none of the actual tractors were over 100hp although the biggest was a Fiat 1000DT so was just at that figure

Oh wow.    That has surprised me.

I certainly couldn't be affording anywhere near that kind of money

They weren't standard Britains production models and were code 3 repaints which is why they had such low numbers. I have a couple of versions but not the one that you are after, if I remember rightly they were over £100 when they were first done

  8. Not an Ebay auction but one from M & M that is due to take place tomorrow, Sunday 17th. I worked for Hough Green garage for a while and got one of these for £25, it is still stuffed into a box in the loft somewhere, up to £135 and the proper bidding hasn't even started yet
