  5. thanks for all your comments and suggestions, especially regarding the strange onion plant. However, what makes things so strange is the fact that the plants seem to have bolted? As this happened unintended (by error) - which might make this onions worthless. Or might it be production of onion sets and do these have to bolt before harvesting? Or is there any kind of onions which are even more tasty after having bolted??
