  1. Do appologise the glue I have been using recentley is evo-stik timebond adjustable contact adhesive
  2. the bostik is from B&Q I try not to use tacs in mdf because it splits too easily
  3. EMA's MPS-88 I glue it with bostic positional contact adhesive run glue all over MDF only then possition the plastic when dry (about 8 hours) trim edge with a sharp model knife
  4. Go on you know it makes sence cut it square and glue it together with cynoacrilate (super glue) very fast so watch you dont stick yourself together with it and make sure that the room is ventilated as it gives off some fumes I use thin glue hold the pieces together and then run the glue down the joint sparingley and it should wick the joint hold for about 15-20 seconds and hey presto joined without any need for clamps and nails Hope this is of some use SMURF
  5. As far as i'm aware you bought them in good faith so there should be no comeback on yourself If you had of known you were buying fraudulent goods at the time you are liable for aiding and abbeting I stnd to be corrected

  9. woodwork is no prob dads got a workshop that makes Tim the tool man Taylor look an amateur : been working with mdf for years the problem with it is the dust it produces not very nice stuff
  10. heat wise your only talking of about 100* f or a bit more i'm hoping mdf will tollerate this if it does i will use a router and carve the moulds what do you think
  11. I use ema for bought stuff but after getting free sheets fancied having a go at it myself pluss it costs a small fortune to clad a scale building of 60x120ft barn have thought about making male and female moulds and heating it up in an oven and pressing the moulds together
  12. I have aquired a small amount of styrene sheet about 60cm square and about .8mm thick anyone got any ideas on how to form it into plofile

Use plastic primer for cars first Then whatever you like to paint on top of it (Trade secret)after spraying with primer you can use poster paint costs hardley anything and its great for weathering a model That's what my shed roof was done with I allways found in the past that model paint was too expensive for large areas smurf

  19. That seriously looks like museum work to me allot of detail all round "TIDY"
  20. Strange how things change in farming once upon a time you had to pay a hefty premium for 4WD now it's standard on most tractors I've heard that you now pay more for 2WD if it's available on that model I may be wrong but FORD 7840's were more for 2WD not long ago
