  1. I haven't seen too many of those and I think it is an early version for the 1210 4wd models.

I know later brochures from about 1976 on had the 4wd and 2wd versions combined in one brochure.

I am sure Powerrabitt our DB expert will shed further light and tell me I am wrong  ;D:-[

  2. Thanks for the comments guys, sounds like the latest issue of CT is going down well. I think the publisher's decision to take on an assistant editor has been a good move and hopefully improved the quality and consistency.

We've got a nice IH 624 as next month's 'Reader Rebuild' and also a special feature on tractors that have clocked very high hours, including a Leyland 272 that has done a remarkable 52,000 hours.

    Mr Cooper's Rory?

  3. Especially for Lord F  ;D ;D

1999, Only 3300 hours and one owner.

In near mint condition and came complete with the loader.

Neighbours have a 1996 version with over 10k hours and no trouble apart from one clutch so if this one is half as good it will be a great tractor.

    Very happy so far.

  4. The Buttle brothers are farmers and businessmen in Wexford. Back in the 80s they had a big business importing 2nd hand tractors, diggers, combines and other machines. They often put their name on the cabs of machines like that.

Correct - still involved in the business too.

I believe that combine has also come from Wexford - I am pretty sure I have been looking at over the past few weeks up in the North of the county.

  5. The rest are down your neck of the woods actually. John Q and Dommy were on Begerin, TX near the monument, and Deutz near Camaross.

I know where you mean now in Begerin but don't know who has that taken.

TX  8) 8)  - surprised he didn't have the TX 34 out as well  ;D  Keeping the MX 170's barking no doubt  ;D ;D

Deutz could be several lads  8)

  6. Harvest kicked off today around these parts.

Five New Holland 15*0s working in the same field. I think four of them were 1530s, and the fifth was a 1540.

Two New Holland 8070s working in a field across the road from the 1500s.

    One New Holland TX65.

John Q 1075 and Dominator 105 working in the same field.

Deutz Combine (too far back from the road)

Correct on the first count  8) 8)

Thing one of those 8070's you mention could be a TX 34.

Rest must be cloer to your neck of the woods  ;D
