From what I remember DB never gave actual dates on the brochures but instead the brochure number.
I don't have enough knowledge of DB brochures to tell
-
-
I haven't seen too many of those and I think it is an early version for the 1210 4wd models.
I know later brochures from about 1976 on had the 4wd and 2wd versions combined in one brochure.
I am sure Powerrabitt our DB expert will shed further light and tell me I am wrong

No update from Bob since the weekend ;D

Colm, you have a good memory. Actually it's Cowper, but you are on the case.

The old grey matter isn't letting me down yet Rory

Thanks for the comments guys, sounds like the latest issue of CT is going down well. I think the publisher's decision to take on an assistant editor has been a good move and hopefully improved the quality and consistency.
We've got a nice IH 624 as next month's 'Reader Rebuild' and also a special feature on tractors that have clocked very high hours, including a Leyland 272 that has done a remarkable 52,000 hours.

What has money got to do with anything?
It wasn't built in Basildon. End. Of.
We are in a recession, you know ;D
-
It was close to being a 6635 but that lacked bulk for what we needed and this minter came up at less money
-
Thanks Colm... that's a nice looking machine as well mate... how many HP is that mate
Depending on what spec you use around 95hp Mark. Powered by a Perkins 236 Turbo engine.

Very unusual to see a Silver 160
Nice drill too on the Silver 8)

Fussy bloody lot aren't we

This one has now been traded in and replaced with a 1999 Landini 9880 with Tanco T70 loader, 4wd and only 3300 hours on the clock
Very happy so far with the latest addition to the fleet.

I am going too - probably Tuesday as I have that day booked off work but may switch it to Wednesday if Tuesday is looking bad.
-
Nice update there Pete
-
Passed all 3 of my ACCA Exams ;D ;D
Well done Simon - is that you finished now?
-
Great update there Fintan - your friend runs the same combine my friend has at present.
Clearly a better day up your way - nothing cut here now since Thursday!

Them Ford 550 diggers had a 4600 skid unit & engine,did they?
Correct but different gearbox even in manual format.

The Buttle brothers are farmers and businessmen in Wexford. Back in the 80s they had a big business importing 2nd hand tractors, diggers, combines and other machines. They often put their name on the cabs of machines like that.
Correct - still involved in the business too.
I believe that combine has also come from Wexford - I am pretty sure I have been looking at over the past few weeks up in the North of the county.

The rest are down your neck of the woods actually. John Q and Dommy were on Begerin, TX near the monument, and Deutz near Camaross.
I know where you mean now in Begerin but don't know who has that taken.
TX 8) - surprised he didn't have the TX 34 out as well Keeping the MX 170's barking no doubt ;D
Deutz could be several lads
-
Loads of combines fired up today - and my camera decided to go on the blink.
In particular the 5 NH's in one field :'( :'(
-
Harvest kicked off today around these parts.
Five New Holland 15*0s working in the same field. I think four of them were 1530s, and the fifth was a 1540.
Two New Holland 8070s working in a field across the road from the 1500s.
One New Holland TX65.
John Q 1075 and Dominator 105 working in the same field.
Deutz Combine (too far back from the road)
Correct on the first count 8)
Thing one of those 8070's you mention could be a TX 34.
Rest must be cloer to your neck of the woods

Great to see the record being broken
