A little advice needed

Hi guys

just wondered if anybody has attempted doing any "welding" on die cast metal i dont know if it can be acheived as i would like to have a go at extending one of my flat beds would anybody be able to tell me if its possible and if so what method is used

I am no expert believe me, but I would guess that all you would do is 'burn' the metal away.  It is of course a lot of metal 'fragments' pressed together as I understand it, so they would break up very easily.  I do stand to be corrected if needs be.........

i do alot of metal fabrication and welding and no you will not be able to weld it.you would be better making a new bed for your trailer out of mild steel.

you would be better making another 1 from scratch mate.
