How far were the John Deere gang taking the grain, it must have been quite a long way to have such huge machines carting grain. Also, the guy in the New Holland T. .. . ... Came when the 500 series was launched. The 540 had as option either a Merc or a Cat engine. It was the only model you could pick your own engine on I believe.
