Lord Ferguson
I was thinking of making a model of Ricks brain. Anyone interested in helping? I think it will be hard - all tips and advice welcome please! birds eye do them anyway Jo... although at his age now I guess it's more a 'mushy pea' than a prime round one

bigbear
I'm after building something quite modest. All I want is a bale sled! One of the old flat variety which held four 'proper' old bales abreast and with a handle on the deck to ditch them when you got about 12 or so up... It would look great with my early Britains balers... Is one ready made, or will I have to scratch build one?

bigbear
Thanks for the pics. Yes, I've got one of these. I'm after an earlier version of sledge which was just a flat wooden platform, dragged behind the baler, which a person would stand on, unload the bales from the baler and then stack them into a neat pile of about 12 onto spikes at the back and then drop the load with a handle on the deck. I used to make my summer holiday money doing this in the mid sixties. I'm trying to find my old photos of this, as I'm sure I've got some somewhere... I'd also like to build a proper scale model of a milking bale too...
