Tractorman810
so guys, is this a real county then?? or a farmers built job, cant say i have ever seen this model in any books ect, seen brouchure on ebay or anything, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-county-tractor-No-VAT-excellent-low-hours-8210-/160515648454?pt=UK_BOI_FarmingEquipment_RL&hash=item255f7a6bc6
roberthenning
Does it not say in the descrpition that its a farmer built job, definitly never seen a real county one made always did wonder how hard it would be to make a 1884 or even a 1884-40 out of the unequle wheeled model
powerrabbit
Wasn't there one of these in CT a couple of issues ago? I'm not sure as I'm not a Ford person but could be one of the last County's to be produced.
roberthenning
No i think your thinking of the 1184-40 was based on a 8340 skid unit
Tractorman810
didnt see the bit on self made i must confess, but it begs the question why do it?? a 8210 is a pretty good tractor grip and power wise, isnt it?? would you get any extra tracion ect out of doing this to it? roberthenning
Prob just did it for the fun of it, i honestly cant think of a better reason, but i would have picked a tw for it would be worth a hell of a lot more even if it wasnt a genuine 1884
Dan
didnt see the bit on self made i must confess, but it begs the question why do it?? a 8210 is a pretty good tractor grip and power wise, isnt it?? would you get any extra tracion ect out of doing this to it? Tractors original front axle damaged maybe & then the farmer wanted a challange it would probaly be more stable, but then why not buy a county \
ploughmaster
Equal sized wheel 4wd will always out grip unequal Which is why the correct term for unequal sized is 'front wheel assisted' rather than 'four wheel drive'. It seems a bit of an odd convo to do, but if a reasonably priced axle was available, it probably worked out a lot cheaper than buying an equivalent County. Eurodeere
The third and fifth pictures really look good, a fine conversion and something different.
