didnt see the bit on self made i must confess, but it begs the question why do it?? a 8210 is a pretty good tractor grip and power wise, isnt it?? would you get any extra tracion ect out of doing this to it?

Tractors original front axle damaged maybe  ???  & then the farmer wanted a challange  :)  it would probaly be more stable, but then why not buy a county  :-\

Equal sized wheel 4wd will always out grip unequal  ;)

Which is why the correct term for unequal sized is 'front wheel assisted' rather than 'four wheel drive'.

It seems a bit of an odd convo to do, but if a reasonably priced axle was available, it probably worked out a lot cheaper than buying an equivalent County.
