Plastruct Tubes

I'm in the process of making a small dairy to house my bulk milk tank and want to add a system of pipes. Do any of you clever modellers out there know if you can get right and left bends to fit Plastruct Round Tubes? Thank you

they used to sell all sorts like that in the ema catolouge, even valves ect to ,all just push in and glue ,if i can find the book i will let you have a scan of the codes ect, give me ten mins and i will let you know

I think it comes under ABS section on the EMA website. Using /abs you still can use plastic weld.

only problem i find with that is, they seem to deform on the bends, hollow ones crumple / colapse, the solids seem to oval unless you can share a better way mind, as i need to make some frames ect soon

thats right sean,same as plumbers bending copper pipe without a pipe bender,just collapses right on the bend

tried putting sand, and even talc into the inner, but it doesnt seem to work the same as on copper pipe , i dont do it that often, but guess blakey boy does, so may be he can give us a tip ,

Yeah you can get away with a little bend in tube, less than 30 degrees or so. Anything after that and it just kinks..

If I'm bending a 90 degree corner, I'll always use solid, even if its just for the bend then join it to tube of same dia.

I do it in stages, never do all 90 degrees in one go. Don't heat it too much either, just enough to let it bend with force. Heat then bend it a bit, heat it again then a bit more, keep going till its done, Prob 3 heats... Too stop it Ovalling, keep rolling the bend in your fingers, It will be warm but it only burns for a few seconds!

Doing it that way I can get 90 Degrees no bother..

cheers blakey boy, will have to try that, last tip i had was the sand or for fine tubes talc, but i cant seem to get that to work, recon the talcs to fine to keep the shape
