ditch/dike

hello everyone i am thinking about adding a dike to my layout and  was wondering if any one has any tips? thanks aaron

i built mine by using a sheet of 2" thick styreen sheet i had in some furniture , basicly laid this below the finished surfaces and then cut the ditchs out from that , it does get messy with the little white balls going everywhere when you cut, but you could try using the big sheets they put in walls as thats a more soild material, but easy to cut

 

by going right under the whole layout i was then able to add the pond in the farm to
