The next rally I will be attending is the Mearns Vintage Vehicle Club rally to be held at Arnhall Farm near Edzell DD9 7UZ which is situated opposite the former Edzell Air base. There is a vintage sale at 1pm on the Saturday and the main rally day will be the Sunday. I plan to take a traielr load of stuff down to the roup since I need to start downsizing. I will be back down again on the Sunday with my 1951 Farmall Cub and the weather is looking better on the Sunday than the Saturday.

I was at this rally yesterday and today. Yesterday I went to Edzell with a trailer load of stuff for the vintage sale and went via the Cairn O Mount road with has 12 and 14 and 16 degree hills but the A4 took to them like a duck to water. Today I loaded my Farmall Cub in the morning and went down to the show via the same road which is 10 miles shorter than the usual main road I take with my uncle Jim and we had a very enjoyable day. I got 2nd place in the P/P class coming second to a new David Brown restoration and beating a Grey Ferguson with 30 cwt trailer which usually takes a first place in the P/P or Ferguson class at most shows. Anyway the owners of the Grey Ferguson are a father and son team and the father got a second place with his MF 35 in the diesel class and  he was the first to come and shake my hand since he said the winner, my tractor and his sons were the only three which were in the running for placings in his opinion. Made me quite happy to think that my tractor can still get a placing 13 years after the restoration was complete 8)

80 odd photos loading to PB to share or bore you with as the case may be tomorrow ;D  ;D
