Was heading to a job today and seen this jd at the dealers yard. It's still a rare sight seeing a tracked machine in Westren Australia they still like there big artic machines. The salesman said that this is only the second one they'ed  had and it had just come back from a country show where they were trying to promote tracked machines. He said that there was a lot of interest and questions about them so he's just waiting for the phone to ring and start selling. I didn't ask how much it was going for.

it is possible to take the tracks of it again and put wheels back on to it, or would it be just easier to get two tractors

can see where your coming from Alan :), does look simple? ???:-\

The range topping 8520 is different from the rest of the range aswell, I think the front axle runs through the bottom of the engine. Saw them being made in USA when we were touring round and the sump for the engine had a huge tunnel through it. When asked why they said the stub axles with TLS fit's either side. Changing these T machines to wheels isn't as simple as it looks.
