BC
A black Aberdeen Angus "beast" escaped when being unloaded from a ferry in Aberdeen today......probably from Orkney and made its way along the harbour beside oil supply vessels and then into the water. Local radio station North Sound 1 reported it as a "bullock" but the local evening paper the Evening Express described it as a cow....but I'll let you view the video and decide for yourselves Yesterday there was chaos with the Queen's baton relay for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and today an Aberdeen Angus....I wonder what Wednesday will bring http://www.eveningexpress.co.uk/news/local/video-cow-escapes-from-ferry-into-aberdeen-harbour-1.449580
BC
Well the black beast had to be shot in the end after the five hour rescue attempt. I see a William Whyte crane was standing by....I wonder if an appropriate lift plan was done by the harbour officials http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2676724/Cow-leads-rescuers-FIVE-HOUR-chase-round-Aberdeen-Harbour-escaping-ferry-SHOT-refused-coaxed-land.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
