A lot of the parts were hand painted... some bits had not been replaced - one of the bonnets had just been touched up - a few dings here and there... quite a lot of oil and DIesel leaks as well...

Picky thing really... but if your'e gonna do one up - go the whole hog OR keep it original in my opinion.

If it was me i'd get it mechanically sound before anything else, be interesting to know what they made

I have spoken to a few restorers recently - they ALL tell me to fix the up mechanically - steam clean them and work them hard to check for (even minor) leaks - nothing worse than oil or derv on new paint work  ::)
