dave the farmer Posted November 1, 2014 Share Posted November 1, 2014 a few pics. took a trip over to kentucky.where i use too work. one of 5 case 8230 combines that will cut about 15000acres per season.a case steiger 400 on duals pulling one of 3 kinze chaser bins on tracks. the field the 3 combines were in was about 500acres. dave the farmer Posted November 5, 2014 Author Share Posted November 5, 2014 They have had a lot of problems with the spreader truck on the electronic rate control.that always spreads the wrong rate.case have tried alsorts to fix it,but no luck yet.so it's just sat there.will find out how much the grain bins hold.they are going to build a bigger bin on the right.cheers 4 the comments. dave the farmer Posted November 6, 2014 Author Share Posted November 6, 2014 Yes j d6910 they do use them in maize,I think May,June time they side dress (ferti) the maize or inter row cultivate.either with liquid fert or anhydrous ammonia,nasty stuff 2.use will dig out some old photos of the application kit. dave the farmer Posted December 3, 2014 Author Share Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks Niels,was a grt trip .miles farms has change some much in the 15 yrs since I worked there.i plan to put some of 1500 pictures I took there of all sorts of kit I saw or used.a big thank you to my wife and and daughter for being so patient ,when we had several stops or big detours to look at combines and tractors and fields.and also my mate Ronan who works out there as agromist,as he to me around the farms to see kit and the farm crew.
