Attirex
Hey, everyone: New member Andrew, here. My dad recently gave me his collection of die cast models which includes quite a few tractors and other farm equipment. His stash has quite a range, starting from a few pieces his dad gave him when he was a kid (he grew up on a small dairy farm in Wisconsin in the 1940s and 1950s) to models he ordered from catalogs in the Seventies, Eighties and Nineties. Some of the pieces are pristine and come with their original boxes, some are not and do not. And it's not a huge collection, but thought it would be of interest to you guys. I have no idea what I'm going to do with all of it, but my general plan is to keep the pieces that I really like and then maybe sell the rest, either via eBay or directly. Note that I'm not here to rip off anyone as I'm a hobbyist myself (I occasionally build 1/48 and 1/32 plastic aircraft kits, so I got the model bug from dad, obviously!). I just want to see if there's anything worth holding onto or selling, as I don't know anything about the toy farm or die cast model world. The collection also includes a bunch of military vehicles from British, French, Polish, and Italian companies that he also bought in the Seventies, Eighties, and Nineties, but I haven't found the proper forum yet to show them. If you guys like the few I've posted below, I'll keep going. Cheers, Andrew Thanks for looking, and so without further ado.... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 1. Case 500 Diesel - Ertl - No box Notes: "National Farm Toy Show, Dyersville, Iowa, 11-9-85" stamped on lower engine block on left side. 2. Titan 10 - 20 - Ken Coble/JLE - No box Notes: My guess is Ken made his own molds. My dad has a few of his pieces from the Eighties, and they all have a little round diecast tag. Tag indicates it was made on November 19, 1986. 3. Farmall F-30 - Ken Coble/JLE - No box Notes: Made on July 19, 1984

Attirex
Thanks, guys! And thanks for the info, Mark. I'll add it. Some more: 15. and 16. Left - Massey Harris 44, Scale Models by Ken Coble Notes: No box. Right - Farmall 300, Ertl for Toy Farmer. Notes: "1984 Farm Toy Show" stamped on lower left side front. 17. Case set - Steam tractor, water wagon, and thresher. Notes: Manufacturer unknown. Unmarked cardboard boxes. Water wagon has large slot on top, so I guess it's a bank? 18. Eight John Deere Miniature Tractors set, Ertl. Note: Original boxes, includes tractors from 1892 to 1973. 19. Ford tractor. Note: Damaged left rear wheel (fell off, wheel plastic looks stressed or warped--just placed for photo). No box. Manufacturer unknown. More plastic than die cast. This is apparently a dealer promotional toy that my grandfather gave to my dad in 1950 when he (my grandfather) bought a new tractor. How this thing survived my dad's childhood, I have no idea!
