sipher172 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 I am thinking of buying a Ros Samson PG35 for the Chassis, axels and wheels for a conversion. The tank, Booms, etc would all be surplus to requirements. Would anyone have interest in buying them?
catkom3 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Does it specifically have to be a Samson, as farmmodels nl sell Joskin 3 axle chassis, And Mandy at HLT sell some of they're stuff, you might be able to get one that way https://www.farmmodels.nl/ROS-3-asser-Chassis-GRIJS-Michelin-banden,-Ø-43.6-mm,-1:32 https://www.farmmodels.nl/JOSKIN-3-asser-Chassis-GROEN-Vredestein-profiel-banden,-Ø-43.8-mm,-ROS-1:32 Regards Joe.
sipher172 Posted November 17, 2020 Author Posted November 17, 2020 Thanks for the thought. I had looked at those, but they have been out of stock for a long time. So not sure if farmmodels.nl will get them back. The plan is to build a Richard Western Grain Chaser, so the Ros Tyre on the Samson looks to be a closer approximation.
FendtFarmer Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 This is one I’ve bought from a famous farm on here, the chassis and axles are from the Wiking fliegl push trailer
sipher172 Posted November 18, 2020 Author Posted November 18, 2020 Thanks for the tip, I used the chassis from Wiking Fliegl push trailer for my Larrington Ejector Chaser. It is actually the auger I have left over from that model that has inspired me to build a Richard Western Grain Chaser, as the augers are a perfect match. I have actually just found a damaged Ros Samson PG35 that is going pretty cheaply. So my problems may be solved.
