Fergie srarted to get it right with the 600 series

You wanted to see some of the stuff that used to be tested on our farm by masseys

started way back when 188's were about    but these 188's had 4 wheel drive and looked nothing like 188's

one of the last ones just before they ceased testing out of stoneleigh was a 399 with a sequential gear box . Totaly manual but very wierd to use so the test driver said. Was a scaled up motocycle type thing but i don't know if it made it into production or it may have been a testbed for the modern Dynoshift that we have today.

allas no it was in the dark old days whet digi cameras wern't about

and fergys gave up there testing from near stoneleigh about 13 years ago

Ironic thing is that a little dickie bird told me that AGCO are moving back there when they cease at banner lane

just looked at the pic again , ,would have been worthy of a place in the photo comp. got to admit , there's something about  the 600 series that makes it a really nice tractor to see working , especially one in that condition , the ford 7610SQ were the same , best get rory on the case !
