tractor makers are putting the exhausts inline with the cab pilers for better visibility but dont think it has worked on this model

don't be so sure mate , i used to drive a marshal 804 & the exhaust was mounted on the side of the bonnet , quite close to the cab , & unlike a mid bonnet mounted exhaust it doesn't interfear at all with the line of vision ,  because most of your time is looking beyond the bonnet the exhaust becomes part of your periferal vision so it may sometimes seem it's not actually there at all , it's only when you look at the pipe , that you actually see it
