MJB1
like pic 81 tris , looks like he's pulling a siku plough , as the first furrow is someway out behind the tractor as for the trucks , 8x2 ? i would have thought they'd be 8x4 knowing the sort of conditions they have to drive on \ like the paid to 'watch them get stuck as we havent got a chain to pull them out ' scenario, quality stuff mate :D

Deere-est
Why do they do that? Makes me mad, the 6480 should be a newer replacement for the vintage 6180 surely?! Which was what, 120hp?

Which was what, 120hp? ? 145 Tris...... :) 157hp mate they used to replace ranges like for like tris , but now they got as many ranges as they have gears , if you look below they got some tractors with the same hp rating in one range as the other ! remember when tractor ranges went up in units of 10 at a time with a range that covered 4/5 models at a time ? just look at the 5475 & 5480 ? it's the same tractor ! whats that all about sorry tris , i'm as confused as you Model Model Max hp MF 5425 86 MF 5435 96 MF 5445 100 MF 5455 112 Model Max hp MF 5460 125 MF 5465 130 MF 5470 135 MF 5475 145 MF 5480 145 Model Max hp MF 6445 100 MF 6455 112 MF 6460 125 MF 6465 130 MF 6470 135 MF 6475 145 MF 6480 157 MF 6485 175 MF 6490 185 MF 6495 198 MF 6497 215 MF 6499 230 Model Max hp MF 7465 135 MF 7475 150 MF 7480 167 MF 7485 180 MF 7490 190 MF 7495 203 Model Max hp MF 8450 235 MF 8460 260 MF 8470 290 MF 8480

MJB1
Re difference between 5475 and 5480 one is 6cyl and the other 4 - can't remember the order though :D the point i'm making is you used to have a 90hp 4cyl, then the 100 hp tractor would be a 6cyl very rarely used to see & 6cyl & 4cyl with the same power rateing i cant but help thinking massey could thin their tractor range down to save costs & manufacture ok what about the 5480 & the 6475 they're both 145 hp why ? they already have 4cyl & 6cyl models effectivly there's an overlap of 145hp ? nashmach
54 and 64 have completely different spec - to quote some people the 54 is the cheap and cheerful one iwth only 4 speed powershift whereas the 64 is the Rolls Royce with the six speed Dyna 6 - several other differences too and of course price plays a big part but compared to NH I think MF have gone too far with all these models
