Has anyone widened their UH collecting net?

Recommended Posts

I notice on eBay recently, a lot of vintage 143 scale models. Is anyone collecting this branch of the UH tree? What are they like detail and value for money-wise?  They're too old for me and I can hardy keep up with the 1/32 stuff so they're not for me but I just wondered what they were like.

What about the UH keyrings? Anyone collecting those? There are one or two I'd like to get but I don't know of anyone stocking the full line of UH keyrings.

I've so far resisted from buying any and starting yet another collection. Mrs PDH would not be pleased.  From those I've seen they are good and some are highly sought after.  If the new Corgi range goes ahead the 1/43 could become popular.

The 1:43 tractors are great value Adam... and good detail as well... a little "plasticy" maybe... but I'd say for the money... go for it...

If you hang on for a few months they will be available over here as well... at the moment they are coming out of a French magazine... but UH have clear plans to "launch the range" over here as well... retail at around ?10-?11 I believe... so I guess ?9.99 will be the real price  ;)

These 1:43 models are fantastic in detail, you have to look at them through a magnifying glass to really appreciate the detail. There are about 36 in the range at present but still on-going, came with the magazine in the French 'Hachette' series for 11 euro's 95. On Ebay they will go for anything from ?14.99 complete and 'boxed' up to ?35 for just the models but can be found 'boxed' without the mag for around ?17 to ?19 at toy fairs. I will try and find an Ebay link for a chap in France that also has a shop in the UK that sels them on 'buy it now' price. There are a lot listed from a chap in China that are 'loose', he must work in the factory and sneak them out to sell.

The keyring tractors are also available from Bruder. Mandy will probably tell you more about these, I have one by Bruder, a Renault Atles 936 RZ, price was ?2.50.

Heres a couple of links.

Yes, this JD 4020 was one in the series and as they all are, cracking little models. I have heard a rumour that the proposed new Corgi range of tractors being released in 2008 in the same scale are now seriously in doubt of coming about because of this 'competition'.
