i would say use that, its a breeding mat from memory, you can just cut it into strips easy enough and soil it over to keep it upright,

I found this German model/scenery supply shop that makes paper maize plants. They're 1:60 scale, but they told me a 1:35 pack is going to be released at the end of December.

i used fren grass used in fish tanks comes in 6 inch squares get it in any pet shop jollys in lisburn or pet world hillsborough pay about £4 50 a square
