After reading with interest the article in Classic Tractor about Aldrich Brothers selling their business imagine how intrigued I was this afternoon when their L Reg Hesston 8100 Swather appeared outside my local New Holland dealer...... :D;)

They go quite cheap don't they  ???

Just after browsing through the current Tractor and Farm Trader I see that this 8100 made ?8.5K which I have to say I'm surprise at given the prices I've seen them go for...... :)

Normally you see the like C Reg Shelbourne Reynolds swathers reaching no more than ?2.5k

Indeed mate, I saw a Shelbourne Reynolds on G.M. Stephenson's site a few months back and it was around the ?2.5-?3K mark......I was almost tempted by it...... :D;)

Can't you buy them and convert them to self propelled mowers? I swear i've seen it done before  ???

Would make a living for a few months of the year...... :D :D

I'm sure I've seen mower heads on them on American sites, don't think I've seen it done over here......

That's some fairly steep prices Mart for the John Deere's Mart:-\

Suprised he didn't have any 6000 series.

Indeed Luke......The 7800's made some steep prices......

Maybe just felt the 6000's were a wee bit too small...... :-\ (not often you'll here that in Britain I would have thought though...... :D)
