Simon Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 The Tracfor was not quite a limited edition, it was more akin to a Popular Plus version of a Ford car. Tracfors were a sort of entry level machine with a few options fitted at a bargain price. Presumably the thinking was it would simplify the order and production process. As I recall, originally they were all white, but as they started to take off they turned orange, can't remember the date. While I never actually sold one, and by extension entered into a discussion about the colour, I can only guess they became orange to further cut costs of manufacture and to make them stand out less as a 'bargain' variant.
