margerisons
thanks for the picture its thats what im looking for.how hard would it be to make one?
Powerstarâ„¢
Shouldn't be very hard, just a case of securing the bonnet on the TTV chassis and a bit of cab detail really.
margerisons
im not too worried about cab details all i would need is to get a UH TTV chassis and the Siku Deutz Fahr bonnet dont think i would want to buy the whole siku model just for the bonnet.now i would have to post something under wanted for the bonnet
Tractorman810
i would say looking at a scrap wheel less chassis i have you would need to cut the lump of metal down at the front of the uh one so that slopey bonnet would fit, and maybe sand down the sides but other than that not to much work, the uh chassis has quite a lump to hold the proper bonnet on, but a angle grinder should take care of that
margerisons
thanks tractorman810 for that detailed opinion its a very good idea.i got all the tools i need in my workshop ill just need to get the bonnet and a UH TTV chassis.thanks again
Tractorman810
got you a pic of the chassis you can see what i mean about the bonnets mounting lump, recon if you cut it along the scribed line it will fit ok, maybe a little filing needed to final fit ,you will loose the front rivet that holds the chassis together but it will glue ok to, and once the bonnect on it will be nice and strong
margerisons
thanks tractorman810 your very helpful ill just have to post s topic in wanted for the bonnet and go to my deutz fahr dealership for the UH.Would it be better with the front weights or links? Powerstarâ„¢
In my opinion the front linkage with the red A frame looks better, exactly like the one above!
margerisons
true the front link would look alot better for details i probably would just fit double beacons on.sorry im new at this so how would i fit the beacons on?
Powerstarâ„¢
Best way is to glue them on, or you can drill little holes first, sit them in and just glue the bottoms.
Tractorman810
depends which ones you get, but either method luke mentioned would work ok
Powerstarâ„¢
Found another one, this time with front weights so you can see the difference.
