MB Trac Posted April 13, 2008 Author Posted April 13, 2008 there is some work involed with trailer using brass. going to be good model when finsihed i wish some company just produced cast leaf springs and an axle assembly, i was going to butcher a universal hobbiess trailer for parts but decided against and made them with great difficulty Quote
Deere-est Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 What do you use to join the brass? Regular solder or something different? It looks great and I would be intrigued to know how you go about making something out of brass. Quote
mad4machines Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 Wow!! Well done MB Trac! At last someone is making a well-made tri-axle low-loader!! Will you be making them for sale in the future???..........Please!!!! Quote

MB Trac Posted April 15, 2008 Author Posted April 15, 2008 wow now that looks great mate Would it be worth to get cast. The white matal seems to sag over time i mite make 5 or 6 out of brass to sell as there is quite a bit of work on them and have difficulty finding the wheels i used for it Quote
alpinefocus Posted April 15, 2008 Posted April 15, 2008 could get it cast so it is in 2 parts, have a cast resin top for all the detail and make the brass chassis for strengh and to take the resin top. i know what you mean about using brass, i like using rather plastruct chassis but takes more time to get sorted Quote

The next one i build i will contact the casting company about. Quote
