I'm in no fit state to reply after viewing the photo's of the Lexions on pages three and four. There is a very worthy winner of the photo comp in there for sure. I have never really mastered dusk/siloutte photo's  :'(

For dusk or silhouette type photos, point you camera at the brightest part of your final composition (usually the sun so might be best to not use the optical viewfinder!) and half press the shutter button. This will meter the light and set the camera to record the bright parts 'normally'. Now compose your photo with the darker subject where you want it and fully depress the shutter.

Hopefully your subject (the combine or whatever) will be horribly under exposed, hopefully black, whereas the sunset will be correctly exposed - ie not burned out to white.
