MODELFARMER
Ok Debating front linakges Need to know this If i put on furrow press, on a front linkage, how far in front of the tractor wheels is the whole unit?? I sow with 15m tramlines, I lift the drill about 0.5m from the hedge and then mylast runs 3 of leave me with no bits unsowed, if i had front press does this cause problems with this? nashmach
Depends on the size of the rings on the front press Ricky - what with that and the extra length of the front links I'd say that is more like 2m gone
Deere-est
One of them things Ricky, a change in machinery may just mean you have to change the way you do things.
jdc
I used to drill on 15m tramlines with the front power harrow and could swing round easily in the 12m headland - 9 would be a bit tight...........
Gav836
I wish I could get round in 12m, needs nearer 18m to get the Vaderstad swung round You can add nigh on 0.4m for just the front linkage without a press on, my 6920s with linkage and weights has about 1-1.2m sticking out the front so would be about the same for a single cast ring press, go for a Sumo though and you can add 2m to the lenth of the tractor
