We could have finished harvest in july but last bit of wheat that went in late was at 18% so i left it till 3rd August and it was 14.4% so we cut it and wrapped harvest up ,we dont normally start till the 28th July ,wonder if we will see another harvest this early in the coming years

The 541-70’s are great machines, should do you well. They were even better before the ridiculous cut outs on the lift were fitted.
Thank Gav, i will give you 3 guess as to the salesman that poked,🤔 i mean sold it to me 😂

used many a bale trailor like the one in photo ,just scraped 2 like that because police are stopping trailers like that around here which i am not against for safety reasons but makes the job a bit more stressful , thats one of the reasons i bought a new lowloader/bale trailer . Great builds there John

Been very warm here as well ,been a few fires around us ,when i came past Duxford on sunday there was a big fire in the distance behind the airfield . i have a meadow to top for someone but been leaving it last few day because of the heat ,got air-con so no worries on that just concerned about hit stones and making a spark

The first of two new trailers arrived yesterday. Our friend Alan went up to Lincolnshire to collect it direct from Bailey Trailers in his new Volvo. These are 18t root specials, as we feel these ride better with the lower centre of gravity and easier to see into for loading. Went for 18t so we can carry a sensible load without having to heap up above the sides. With the new laws about unsecured loads these have sheets for the longer haul back from Bondip along the A303, A Vosa hotspot! They will join the 2 older 14 tonners already in the fleet. Thanks to Alan for collecting and well will be seeing more of him soon!
😁 A303 VOSA Hotspot did you not make the F/W headlines a few years back . Very nice trailers a mate of mine has a Bailey 16 ton potato trailor as its low and then has a bit more headroom when tipping in shed
