great pics. That 550 never fails to amaze me, a scraper tractor in such a good condition, incredible. How many hours did the 390 and 398 have and how many on the new 5445's?
Thanks for the comments, I will pass them on. The 390 had approx 3000 hrs, the 398 5000hrs. The 5445 with flat roof is the one off the caravan park and thats only done 800 hrs and the 5445 with glass roof was a ex demo and has only done just over 1000hrs, hope that helps.

Hi all
You may remember a few months ago the farm where my dad works had a New model Mf 5455 on demo to replace the Mf 399. They decided the 5455 was a bit expensive at the present time and decided to keep the 399 for another year and look at replacing it then.
As the Mf 398 was also getting on in years they started to look into replacing this and started to look for suitable replacement. My dads boss found a tractor at a dealer ( in West wales, so a good two/three hours drive away) and popped along to see it. The tractor is about four years old and only done 800 hrs or so, having spent its life of a welsh caravan park. So a deal was done and the 398 would be traded in for it.
The new tractor was due to be delivered last Friday and I was hoping to go and get some pictures of it being unloaded but due to work commitments I couldn't go so I sent my deputy photographer ( my sister ) to go and get some pictures.
The salesman said he would send another tractor on the lorry for my dads boss to have a look at as a replacement for one of the 390's, well guess what, he bought that one too!!!.
So now the tractor fleet comprises of..
MFA 550 ( scraper )
MFA 390 ( loader )
? ( to replace one of the 390s )
? ( to replace the 398 )
MFA 399
Manitou Telehandler
Well enough of me rabbitin here are the pics, firstly some pics my sister took of the farm whilst she was waiting for the new tractors to arrive.
Firstly MF 550 aka Banger

Hi all
Toptractor now have the new Fendt 415 and loaders in stock. I notice Universal Hobbies have changed the packaging, look better for it in my opinion too.

What a beuty this was. One of the first tractors ever sold by Malpas Tractors and is still on the same farm.

The biggest stand by far, took a few pics here for the blue fans.

Yes I think it is. I didnt get many pics of them as Im sick of seeing them , nearly every tractor around my end is a JD.

As promised here are some pics from today's ploughing match.

Anybody going? I am, and I am taking my camera . Should be good this year as last years show was cancelled due to foot and mouth. There is the usual vintage and horse drawn ploughing but there is a lot of modern kit with most of the big manufacturers present. Details as below, not far from the M6.

Thanks for your kind comments, the camera I use is a Kodak Easy Share CX7330, its one of them that you put onto a printer base at home and print your own photos off.

And now the 398 waiting to be loaded, a sad day as it was a good tractor and was in very good condition and I am sure it will serve its next owner very well for many years to come. My sis didnt manage to get any pics of the 390 being loaded as it had gone dark.
I have some pictures of the truck for those who are interested but I am having problems with photo bucket being painfully slow, so I will post more pictures later on.
