  1. Here you go. There are some more coming, just got to find them.... These are from 3 or 4 years ago so it's TS115, 4135, Dom 85, Fraser trailers and various other bits and bobs. Why can't we have springs, summers and autumns now like we seem to have had then??
  2. In that case I'll find some more of her.... the 85 I presume you mean? Get some scanned in for you...
  3. Here you go, some more of the 7810, she seems to be popular..... also the 1910, bought new in 1985 and sold in 2001, I learned to drive on it! One of the Cergos 350 too, our last Renault. It and I never really bonded, more because I wasn't liking Renault as a company than any major faults with the tractor...
  4. We had the same problem. In the end we had a load of road planings delivered when they re-surfaced the main road locally. So long as you get them in the height of summer you can get them down like tarmac. Level them out in the heat of the day and hire a ride on vibrating roller. Keep rolling them down and they go rock hard. Round here it's ?4 a tonne delivered off the roadworks, ?8 ex yard. We did the main route between yards so it gets grain lorries over it as well as all our kit, the odd 360 digger and the cattle. We've not had to do anything to it for best part of 10 years. Thanks, will find some more this morning.
  5. Not as close as you! We farm at Ludlow, about an hour and a quarter from AberG, days from AberD!!
  6. I'd go for a Dom. We had a '78 reg Dom 85 with 13' cut for nearly 10 years. Recently been replaced with the 78S with 12' table. Any Dom would be nice but I think the 98SL is probably the world's greates combine..... second hand prices reflect that too. UH would definitely be the boys for the job.
  7. Yes, we started it in 1996 ish specifically for the horse market. We made and sold the bales directly from our own grass and also contracted it out to both dealers and horse owners. Was very time consuming and eventually it got wound up. The baler is now on one of the tiny Scottish Isles, Skye or somewhere. They bought it because small kit is all they can use. It stood about 3'6" tall and we wheeled it around by hand! The most power that went throught it was 127 horse out the back of the TS115 turbo. From memory we sold the for about a fiver a bale. Contract rates were about ?3 a bale. The most surprising sale was when I took 25 to Abergavenny fodder sale and a hill farmer paid ?6.50 a bale for the to put into the worst looking sheep. The downside was I had to deliver them at half houlage rates to the arse end of Aberdare. No one had mentioned this to me before the sale so I was a bit miffed about it! That's right. I think some of the photos imply it was an 85x but was actually an S, may even have been a Tracfor version, Renault's 'equivalent to a Stockman Special or similar. We bought it new in Summer 95 from the dealer I worked part time for, so beginning a relationship with Renaults that continued for 6 years until 2001 whe our Cergos was traded in for the 4135. I've got a feeling someone tried..... All it needed really was a 3pt linkage. Which was an option on the competition. Thanks all, will find you some more tomorrow.
  8. Haha, no that's one thing you won't find in there! [sorry Marky, no offence!] I'll get some more up tomorrow for you.....
  9. Hopefully these will get a good response...... I've been having a flick through some of the boxes and it always seemed to be sunny....! I do have some gorgeous photos of various operations around the farm, some quite unusual like the mini baling. If there's enough demand I'll get a load of them posted up. Sorry, these are all scanned form 32mm by the way so the quality won't be that great. Let me know what you all think.
  10. I've got some better ones of her in another box which I'll fish out.... there's a nice one somewhere when she was clean with a 10t Griffiths trailer on.... Couple of the other tackle.... This time we're on mini baling duties!
  11. I've found my old photos this morning... If you want to see more then stick a post up and I'll scan some more in to put up..... I have hundreds....! Here's a couple of our old 7810, 1990 SQ F3 which we had from 1998 to 2001....
  12. They would have been, us Ford owners are too tight to pay for big boots.... I'm going to attempt to stick it under a Siku 6820 cab, fenders & shortened bonnet to become a 6420, with a UH loader if I can lay my paws on one.... should be nice next to the 2wd 2140 & 4wd 3350.... Or maybe I'm planning a bit above my ability....! I better go pay actually.....
  13. Nice Dan, I like, they look superb. I've got to build a couple for my miniaturisation of our farm, going to have to go some to be as good as yours.... We've got an 8t [1998] & a 10t[2007] if you need anything, dims, photos etc....Dig out the 'Our Farm' topic and there are some photos... not great though... http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=19486.0 I've been shopping with you on ebay.... what did you abandon the K100 chassis for?
  14. I like it Adie, looks smart! Nice to see something a bit different. You just need to give the driver a paint job and new wardrobe! You and your Masseys. I've got a couple of friends on the shooting syndicate who work for Agco @ MF UK if you ever need anything..... Oh, incidentally, your 2680 - about a fiver should cover the job..... drop me a PM with your address & PP details. Cheers S
  15. That's a Willmar isn't it? I've been researching this for the article. I already know that the Spra Coupe was produced by Melroe [bobcat parent, bought out by Ingersoll Rand] and was the compact SP sprayer. Willmar machines seem to be the higher capacity end of the market. The only other thing I know about Willmar is that along with Spra Coupe they have been acquired by Agco and they are sharing the soon to be launched spracoupe.agcocorp website. You'll have to get a subscription for Model Farmer if you want to know more.......!
  16. Judging by your pseudo-authoratative requisition request Rick, I can only assume it must be a little bit review worthy.......!!!
  17. I've acquired one of these self propelled sprayers. Quite rare, dealer boxed model in 1/32nd scale, commissioned by Agco. Would anyone like to buy it after I've reviewed it for the magazine? PM if you want to know more.... Simon
  18. Typical Massey, stick a guard round the beacon and call it a forestry tractor. Looks like the marketing department got a big bonus that year!! Talking of marketing departments - and in that respect not remotely off topic - a major toothpaste manufacturer employed an outside marketing company to help them sell more toothpaste. And do you know how they achieved growth of something ridiculous like 40%? Well, they made the nozzle bigger...... Must have been the same marketing company came up with this beauty!
  19. Thanks, it's taken years to get the fleet about right. Few other bits need updating, Lemken plough should be traded up from DL110 4f to DL120 5f - bit pointless pulling the 4 behind the T! It is nice having everything clean and dry. To be able to walk round the whole place in ordinary shoes even in the depths of winter is pretty unusual for farms round us but makes me much more inclined to do things!
  20. Last ones now. Just a couple of randoms around the yard. And yes, we are tidy freaks!
  21. Couple more.... Sambron J24s mono boom loader. Bought new in '84, been replaced by the Manitou but since I've pinched the Manitou to use while buildingthe extension the farm is stuck still using it. 3 cyl Deutz air cooled engine, weird & wonderful noise. 2 speed hydrostatic. Looks like it would withstand a direct hit from an RPG. Closing the engine cover is a 2 man job. Weighs about 5 ton, lifts 2! Ford 4135DT, another bad picture of it, Ill get a decent one of it when it gets into the field.
  22. Odds & ends -Vicon [PZ] Haybob 300, Marsk Stig 4.5m hyd fold cambridge / breaker ring rolls
