  1. By jove cuttsco i think you're right! This guy need reporting! Saying that, i didn't check and ending up buying from him, thought that name was familar............... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=741&item=6944958506
  2. I was looking to get into this just the other day, did a bit of research, resin seems a lot easier to do if you're a beginner and the materials are more easily availible, you can even get away without using moulds for somethings. I have been put off though, having made a few moulds in the past for aluminium, I found it to be a lot of work, it takes a while espically with very small parts to get the runners and risers right. I haven't used latex moulding techniques, but if you have the part you want replicate and it is fairly simple they seem a very quick way of casting. With white metal, I think there are cetain types, some for bog standard casting (which must contain lead) and some for centrifugal (which don't have to), be prepared to put up with a few fumes!
  3. Aother thing I've noticed and forgot to mention, is the postage, you get people charging ?5 postage for items such as bale sleds or verge mowers, whats going on there? Fair enough if they contact you after to say that its cheaper, but I've seen a lot of it. Whenever I win now, and the item is below 750g, I always get it sent second class if postage is over ?2.50 (scabby, but add up your buying total, then add postage).
  4. Gets worse, someone paid (do these people actually pay up?) ?30 for an un-boxed Massey 760 Combine, it was in good condition, but a while back these weren't going for more than ?8. Surely this model is only worth anything when in a box because of its insanely long production run, or maybe they were after this particular shade of red.
  5. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6942027967&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT you can still buy this off net shops, just ordered one yesterday, ?12.55
  6. Its britains low-cost version Massey Ferguson 595, less detailed and no cab. Price wise, not a lot probably because it doesnt look like the real thing, but then you havent paid a lot
  7. Yeah it gets ridiculous, but I'm often suspious that people are getting their friends to bid,but some people just get drawn into competition. Saying that, if you are on at the right time or find something really mis-listed you can make a killing, sometimes you can by one item with postage for less than the cost of the postage on the same item another day.
  8. Hello everyone! Great site, I've just re-started my collection so good info. I saw this as well, the boxes are marked "sample only", maybe it was a one off?
