fed cows, then .. stirring slurry till milking time
If you leave slurry to settle without stirring does it thicken so as to become "un-pumpable" (for want of a better word)?

My (new) front left tyre is deflating at about 7psi a day and I've just discovered a ruddy great nail protruding from it!

Getting an expensive roll of pvc-coated chainlink fence tangled up. Tomorrow's a new day I suppose and I'll see what I can do but it looks like I'll be buying yet more of the wretched stuff to complete the fence

today i was working, cutting cauliflower seed from the stem with a petrol hedge trimmer, so that other workers can pick it up and put it into boxes. Next thing im pulling the trimmer out of my leg and on the way to the hospital, 20 stitches later and another appointment to make on monday to check the wound for infection and rotting dead flesh.

The pallets look really tidy, they have a nice weather-beaten/battered look to them. Crates are great too!

Paid off though didn't it?
On a side note I've just discovered George's uncle (who was once part of his Dad's farming partnership) is a friend of a friend

Second episode of this series on young farmers was shown today (8pm channel 4). Anyone else following this?
Pleased to hear George Forbes, 24, a sheep farmer near Cheltenham, was also a keen carpet farmer when he was younger and opened an old trunk full of Britains and Siku toys! One was an old Britains TM 165, which he drives for real.
