Logs this morning for me, may have a quick duck into the Gauge O show in town on my way home to pick up any scenic tips. Ought to do a bit of Christmas shopping too really. Then, if my van is still blocked in, I might have to go over the road and smack the p***!
Smack the... pony?

Certain people's unrealistic expectations of what a human being can achieve in a certain time frame, and then not being paid the full amount after hours of back breaking work.

Seems spuds are a nightmare, so I don't envy you with sugar beet to follow although you do seem to be on reasonably light land. Up here, the local teams are averaging 3 acres/day per SP machine. They've now resorted to using tracked machines to haul to gate and normal tractor to haul on road - the trailer is more like a sledge in the field.

Thats the old store just being used to hold loads short term while we wait for bulkers just so I can keep lifting them. Never seen so much mud come through the harvester. The two heaps at the right hand side of the first picture are from what went through the harvester when trying to get to where I had to back out from Tuesday, the ruts were so deep that I had to have the harvester running to stop the digger web filling up with mud, instead it clogged the discharge elevator solid as it couldn't cope with the shear amount of the stuff going up it.
Ah so that's what those mounds are, ejected mud. I spotted similar piles in a potato field locally and thought it might be extra topsoil the farm had tipped there to fill in ruts and wet areas...

This forum has indeed helped me getting to know some fantastic people who share the same hobby. It has also enlighted me on the fact that I am not the only "beyong help" person out there. Just think of how much money our comunity has spent over the last 5 years or so
.
I also believe a forum like this can greatly influence manufacturers. I remember when I joined this forum that Siku models were some of the most detailed models available. and if you wanted to have a plough, rake or many more implements you had at most the choice of one model, either a siku or britains. Nobody else did any implements. Times have changed and this forum has been a big part of that change. I have never been sorry to be part of it. I used to be part of a German forum. Not at all like this forum. People constantly attack each other critisize whatever they say. Many discussions are cut short because of either peoples rudeness or some moderator not happy where the discussion is going.
I would like to thank all the fantastic members on here to give me so much friendship and banter
Thank you all

I'm surprised to hear this, didn't Universal Hobbies exist in 2004/5? I know Wiking and many others have emerged since then but it seems strange the two big guns were still Siku and Britains back then.

So exactly when did Andy set up the forum then, and who were the first moderators?

Half a dozen New Holland T7000s (I think) and one, possibly two FR9050 foragers with maize headers, farmer's Loadall, (and something big on the clamp by the sound of it), finishing work at 5pm (thanks to the FR driver who let me pass exiting the farm)

Digging holes for 7 birch trees and post holes for a fence that will surround them. Next door a big contracting company was bringing in late maize to the farm clamp, just out of camera range unfortunately but I got one pic leaving a muddy field when I rendezvous with the chap delivering my new tyres.
-
Is this one they pulled over Mike?
-
Today I have been carting maize from the harvester to the clamp. I am quite enjoying the new Job
So you're back to mud and rubber then? I thought you were going for an entirely different change of scene!

Sorry for the dp, damn thing is slow today

Are those bars on the 6210 easy to remove or do you prefer to keep them on even when you've finished baling with it ?

Four Event ML698 AT tyres, from Ebay.

The zips always seem to go on my workwear trousers, -branded or unbranded- and I usually end up superglueing the zip in place if I can't repair it

spent 4 hrs last night, and another 4 tonight sorting the laptop, seems it was a virus?? but no idea where from, that got past the security software, basicly created a fake screen trying to tell me my harddrive had crashed and pay "microsoft" to get a license to restore it. be ware its iffy as hell, and pretty potent, took 3 system restores, then a good bit of tinkering to recover all my pics documents and internet favs ,all of them were there but it hid them and it took some real hunting to track them down . the macaffe has found them and sorted it ,well so it claims, but after sorting and looking at the microsoft forum it seems its very common right now
Well done for persisting with that, I don't know if I would have the patience and would probably still be tearing my hair out..

Oh can I come? As a stowaway if necessary. I'm sure there are enough recesses in your rigids/artics that I can wedge myself, or top of the bale stack, in a cab or skip etc.

Yes Chris, I am, a mile from the village, plus the fact that the parents don't let their little darlings out after dark nowadays without an 'apropriate' adult, well, they don't come here, I think they're afraid I might eat them or the beast of Dartmoor will get them!
I remember one year, back when I was a mere pup, we had a large beech tree on the side of the road outside my house and I painted a white skull on the trunk six foot up parralell with the road and stuck a couple of catseyes thingy's in the eye sockets, it was good fun watching the passing vehicles either stop to have a good look or put their foot down and go like hell up the road.
Brilliant
 Might try that next year with my sheep's skull.

What, the fat bird from Emmerdale and You've Been Framed?!!
Well she looks different now she presents Countdown!
-
Tim aren't you too far out in the sticks for trick-or-treaters?

She would need 12 hours to recover!

The red one may be rareish but in my opinion is not worth that kind of money. I certainly did not pay and would not pay that amount for one but I suppose it depends on how desperate one is to get one.
Agreed. I would pay £35-40 max for a boxed one, but have given up looking as it still commands silly prices.

That looks much more robust (like it should) Pete. What additional parts have you used?
What have you been doing or plan on doing today?
