Lots around Kemble in Gloucestershire: NH 8870 towing a folding harrow and Vaderstadt rolls; team of 3 NH's with a Grimme harvester and potato trailers and what looked like a Case STX Steiger pulling up stubble, plus 20/30 series john deere surrounded by hedge trimmers of various makes. There was much more including several Fendts with slurry tankers but I wasn't wearing my specs and we passed them too fast.

All day at the Battle of Britain airshow in Kemble, highlights were a Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire, Airbus A380 and a Vulcan bomber. Only ruined by the weather at the end of the display plus the Dove transport plane my parents were due to fly in had a problem with its undercarriage and so had to abort before take-off.

Great pictures , like the one off the ford on the track , is it all the farmers kit or is it contractors or a mix ? As for the Un-orthodox way off moving the bale , boss where i work did that a few years ago exept he drove over the bale with the front was pretty funny altho he broke the bale backing off it.
Equipment belonging to several farmers and a contractor I think Taz. Grain going to the big farm and the bloke who owns the Ford gets some straw. The big Massey and baler belong to a contractor. Not sure about the combine.

And this lovely 7495 with a Hesston 4900 big square baler chased them round:
Just after I took this photo the 7810 accidently hit the old gate post with the laden trailer, he wasn't square to it:
Un-orthodox way of moving the bales (sorry for the poor quality I was some distance away)

I caught the tail end of this year's harvest at the top of our hill. The (?)wheat crop looked quite weather beaten.
Another Massey combine this year but a change from the usual 36 with this 7272:
On carting duties a Massey 3095 and Ford 7810, both with Marstons:

strange thing i saw today... a red case 2294 with a tarrup/westmac 108 forager .. fella driving looked like he had never, shaved or cut his hair
There's just such a feral-looking farmer round our way, who closely resembles Ben Gunn!

Well aside from burying the dog ( :'( ) I've been visiting a number of local farms doing my placement mail drop. 16 farms down some 50-odd to go L200 handled well, but I got stuck on one very steep hairpin and put a bit of rubber down.

Thunderheads and downpours visible over the forest but fortunately passed us by today

Sorry to hear that sad news buddy.. chin up if you can
Thankfully I'm on anti-depressants which took some of the edge off it, but I'm still going to miss the silly old girl. Thanks Mark

A white Britains Powerfarm County 1884 arrived in the post today with only the cab frame and steering wheel reproductions and it's chugging along well. Now I can sell my rather forlorn one from childhood.

Mike Edwards former ELO founder and cellist who played at my Grandad's funeral was killed in a freak accident when a round bale hit his van after rolling down a hill and through a hedge. He was a really nice bloke and we're all shocked and upset :'( :'(
