vistor numbers I heard were around 800 ish.
what surprised me now is the size of some of the modern 1/32 releases, had a look at a wiking jd baler it seemed a bit overscale to me and quite a few other like the siku show model
You say that, but I used to own and operate a JD 590 when they were the most current bailor before I left farming. I walked past one of those new JD's in the flesh in our local JD dealers yard, It's bloody huge!, in comparison to the 590. Mind you eather I'm getting old or the JD stuff seems BIG these days there was also a new 6420 thing parked close to an old tired 6400,it's about twice the size of the old model, even an old 6800 looked small next to it.
Nice to see all the old faces, and a couple of real damn ugly ones, but hey the UTS boys make up for it in charm ....bought a few things I had no intention of like a wiking 939black,ford 5640 and a couple of other bits,Did manage to collect a trailor, the only thing I went to get

Seems a bit quiet this topic this year..sign of the times I guess

You do see them come up now and again at shows etc, but they do comand a far price

poped in for a few hours,.. mainly to rip the wee out of bazza , and drop a few tractors off, and errm pick some nice fendts up for the display case.
Had to say seemed very quiet, but I think that could mainly be due to the stunning weather, I did say to sara when I saw the wether forcast for this week " show will be slow". after 2hours in the small hall I was ready for the drive home with the aircon on as it was a bit sweaty betty,
was nice to have the time to walk round this time and meet a few people with some very handy bits and bobs
Roll on april, and some real naff wet weather, to bring the punters in as by then I should have enough stuff done to have a stand again
Think this show should be in november, wet cold, most of the harvsting and drilling done and the right side of xmas
EDIT: oh and one bit of a moan £4.80 for three coffee's, in plastic cups!!!! holy smoke

Yer, by the end of this I think I will have seen quite enough case pumas Ahhhhhh

Bloody hell! UH must be busy, I see at least 10 broken ones every time I go to snetterton models, and some of the tractors I get sent , mudgards broken/bent, badly fitted cabs with warped plastic, stearing wheels missing ( a Massey favorit that one ), wingmirrors missing, broken flashing lights, paint falling off fendt cabs etc etc etc .....
-
Nice work mate, looks great! front end looks just right, I was thinking of doing another but making the mudgards wider on the back to cover the wheels...as so many people pointed this out when I first did mine
-
only buy models I like, and that yellow massey is just nasty...yuk even Marky would have trouble loving that ugly child

Have to admit, when i sat back in the workshop and looked at it I did think Hmmm maybe a drill, or a big cultivator
-
well it's been done before I think, But I had these wheels in a bag that i bought at spalding and the 824 was looking a bit sad, as it was sitting on blocks in the back of the display case , I swiped the back wheels when I was building my Xylon, so i thought I would have a go at fitting them...got a bit carried away started at 11pm saturday . They were not the best to fit but I'm pleased with them, so I thought I would shove a couple of photos up
-
errrm looking at those photos I could do with getting the old duster out in the display case

The only thing that gets on my nerves is these bloody uh fendt door pillars some are ok and others bow out, by the time I found this one was bowing it was to late, to try and fix would risk damaging the paint . There was a thred about this on here a year or so ago
EDIT got brave with a screwdriver as I was about to box up...sorted yay
