Cheers chaps, I'm going to come to a bit of a slow spot for the next couple of weeks . got a couple of big R/C rallyx meeting comming up, need to prep the car

bit more done last couple of nights

Now that is a funny peice of kit from the front   looks like it is made for a demount sprayer tho, Kinda like an agribuggy sorta thing

Yes I think mine is the  biggest wheel option, but there seem to be so many, every tractor you see a photo of has something diffrent .( just take a look at the utube link Jez has posted   But the one I am building is the one I remember the most...and on the front of the broshure I'm working from.As like you I have never seen one for real. But yes the xylon seems a very big tractor considering the HP band it is in.

But when you remember the year the xylon came out and think of what other companys were making at the time it was some out of the box forward thinking from the disgners imo

Cheers jez, thats fantastic.the in cab bit is realy usefull. There are so mant diffrent versions of the tractor.

I have fitted the engine, it is one fron a siku 718,cut in half and fitted eather side of the chassis, then to tidy things up I have fitted the outer frame, so it looks like the real thing, most of this will be covered by the cab and steps, but it little details I suppose

Yep stiga is one of our mowers, I cut large amounts of grass for a living, we use the stiga around the edges and do the large areas with a couple of bigger tractors with 62" decks. But I am about to trade the stiga PRo 25 in for a stiga titan...more money

yer, I think we can be very english about tractors like this, we like tractors to look like tractors .

same thing with lawn mowers, we have a stiga mower with the deck on the front and artic steering, fantastick thing, goes round everything and under all the bushes etc, BUT the dealer hardly sells any, every one buys tractors with the deck underneath, they can't get into the corners, and moan about turning circle,but they bought it as in there head it looked like a ride on mower should!

If you look for xylons for sale there are loads in france, belgum etc, not found one in the UK.

Anyway back to the model... engine fitted, chassis frame fitted around it. chassis close to ready for paint

Hmmm yer the forestry one...even more stuff to cut off and throw in the bin

top marks, and the wheels are the right way round now, lucky I spotted that   haha

Cheers mate, alway nice to have a compliment from the master .It's funny how many people realy don't like this tractor in real life , don't think I will get asked to build one for anyone, better start building those green and yellow things...people just love em

I have another 515 on the way now so I can start to getting on with the cab.

I hope to get the chassis finished over the next few days, I am just fitting the engine and a spool block attached to the steps

bit more tonight, looked up at the time   errm off to bed

Not a lot to show ....but loads of work, rear part of body work is now fixed,Rr linkage is just resting, almost in the right place and spent tonight making up the tool carrier that sits on the back

As always ...nice, just watch and learn. .....but I have to say "Oi mate, front wheels are around the wrong way"

I'm starting to get exited about how it will look finished, but also the amount of work needed on the cab is starting to sink in

Oh and my wepon of choice was my airbrush, but now it's my minicraft with cutting disk, yerrr I'm lovin it

bit more tonigt, few more bits on the front, some 824 wheels on the back and starting to weigh up how to get the back to sit and look right

Not sure yet, I collect fendts,And I have a clean shelf in the display case, this may go on there, or just have the wheels done like the 718 I made,

I have a  hay turnner to do next, then a scratch built Matbro TR200...I have a cunning plan baldrick   and a diorama with a very posh hedge cutter for jez.

I use clear plasticard....thin, as it makes it easier to conform to shape, also a lot of modlers use acetate,, like over head projector stuff   all the windows on this fendt are made up with plasticard, exept the open door
