Whats your favourite BRITAINS tractor ?
The-classic-collector replied to THEBRITFARMER's topic in Britains Farm Models
just like the rest, mine is the mf 135, i have two and there great little tractors, too small perhaps? and they are quite pricey! most of the small fords and mfs are nice, and you here of many carpet farmers using them and boasting..... however i have a soft side for the renault 155.54 because i have farmed and farmed with mine! -

hi everyone, picked this baby up a few weeks ago at a local show. she was just a chassis and four wheels, originaly an industrial version, shes now back in red. with me being at college money was tight so i thought, why not save youre money and make the bodywork youreself. so i spent the entire day in the workshop cutting and beating alluminium, and heres the result. i think she looks sweet! afterall i only paid ?2.00, so shes a working model....................... what do you think????? thanks...........

hi all, my freind made a front weight from two siku weights and iron tubing a while ago......... well yesterday i was bored and topped it......... the box is made from alluminium, inside is a slab of iron and lead shot......... theres two solid iron dowel stands underneath........... and the a-frame linkage is made from alluminium (theres a tow hitch too) no tractor can handle it yet! although i think the xerion might (will try later) its a bit ott :D :D but its fun! the a-frame just came of the box its that heavy! im going to drill a whole later and take some shot out, then im goin to place a plug in (means i can adjust the weight) hope you like ha ha!....................

hi ihp, i forgot to say, this is only a first design, usually i use mdf as it gives a very good effect when finished... i have used plastic before and i just dont take to it, i beleive theres more quality and skill with woods, and if you do it correctly once painted you cant tell its wood............. thanks ihp............. (the pin on the back and 'a' frame is made of aluminium)
