  5. thank you Gav, as her dad I am pleased you have posted this .With Daisy being one of the younger female members on the forum, she should no longer recieve any unwanted comments. We all need to look out for our children, especially when using their PC's. Many thanks.
  6. All packed up ready to go home now, will post more pics early next week when the finishing touches are done.
  7. Yes Jez, you could use this wire for anything like that, the wire I have used here is quite heavy gauge,I have some lighter thinner pike trace back home which would be better suited
  8. well, well, wide boots it will be for now,she looks a mean beast in them. just finished painting the body and boots,....heres a few pics..... hopefully tomorrow,I will get the pipes on and the tow hitch, maybe put the wheels on for a couple more photos before we go home on saturday.

  10. This is what pike wire looks like Tris; cut the crimps in half, they make pretty realistic wire ropes and hawsers
  11. Well, after a bit of headscratching,we have managed to fit the flotation tyres on a modified axle. I would appreciate your comments as to whether they look right ,o.k., or wrong on the bunning. almost there now apart from a few more details.......pto shaft, jack, wheelnuts, hyd. pipes etc....
  12. "fungus"..........................its Fergus sweetheart!!,dont forget it sweetie cheers Tris and Tractorman, cant do a lot till I get back home and will have a look at scaledown if Cerin comes up with nothing.
  13. many thanks for all the positive comments.Does anyone sell "bunning" decals on here? Also,I have run into a problem with the wheels; the flotations I was going to use will be too bloody awkward to fit so I am looking for a pair of 34inch wheels to suit \
  14. got the mesh from a local stockist here,..."massey boy" is the name!! dunno what guage it is but the diamonds measure 2mm by 1mm, if thats any help
  15. I was waiting for someone to notice the floor,it took almost as long as the augers. The first attempt didnt look right and went in the bin. The second looked much better with the two lengths of pike wire as floor chains.Handy stuff the old pike wire and "slim crimps" ,you can make all sorts of stuff with it.
  16. as promised, another early morning update on progress, managed to do a bit more today inbetween things made frame for beaters, sideplates, top and bottom rails and top bearing covers also cut all blades and fitted them fitted the slurry door rails,(this one isnt going to have a slurry door),and put the side fillets on. starting to take shape, bit more detail (floor chain tensioners). floor chain gearbox and motor, guard rail and light box. dont ask me why theres another picture the same cos its too bl**dy late!! other side light box. looking more like the real thing better start thinking about paint now,..........not metallic pink though. honestly..........I picked that up at a carboot sale for next to nothing......honestly,......someone believe me pleeeeeaaaaase !!!!
  17. just a thought,......................what on earth made you call it ....."betty" ??? :D
  18. bl**dy nosey lot of wotsits on here..................never you mind why
  19. Well, I said that the next project in the pipeline was a bunning spreader, progress has been somewhat slow but steady considering the events within this "tribe", (nice one simon),lately. This one is based on a 9 tonne lowlander, which we hire on a regular basis, and will hopefully purchase later this year. the body taking shape along with the top rim........(fiddly!) drawbar/frame a very nice set of flotation tyres, they will do for now after a bl**dy lot of headscratching, and a post for help on here,mr."4055 power" (sorry for not knowing your name),posted up a topic from last year which proved very helpful for constructing the rear augers/beaters.They had to be slightly larger than scale for these hands to deal with, jesus they were fiddly!!! spot the message simon just showing off the " holiday hands" floor chain and guides and slats thats all for now, hopefully more tomorrow after we've all roasted on the beach...........hopefully
  20. i will have a look for a wacky colour in me tin for you sir.................... ;D
