  1. I'm enjoying reading all these reactions and I'm amazed about the number of brochures some of you own :of . For those who own thousands of brochures: Have you any idea what have or don't have?? Mark, it's not fair to choose from so many great brochures. But when you put me against the wall I will pick this one. Doe's Triple-D. Why? It is just a great brochure! A tractor build before I was born, but always impressed me. Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4
  2. Jack, that's a very special brochure , never seen that one before. By the way yesterday I accidentally found your Fordson book :) , I already gave up searching.... [
  3. Interesting to see the different storing techniques of every body, here my story 1. Assuming that you have a literature collection of your own... what does it consist of [img alt=]http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif My dad started collecting in the early 80's and he started with mainly dutch brochures, instructions books and parts lists. Back then there was no internet, so the communication went by hand written letters. Can you think about that now? I started fanatically collecting in 2000 after graduating. I started scanning the internet and the foreign brochures came in. Nowadays I (we) collect brochures in the following languages: dutch, english, german and french. Tractor brochures only, no implements (yet), with exceptions like the E27N implements. The following brands are in the collection: - Fordson - Ford - Ford New Holland - Ford Versatile - County - Roadless - Doe - Perkins engines fitted in Fordson - other, interesting conversions, four-wheel drive systems, etc. 2. How do you (physically) store it [img alt=]http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif do you have a filing system etc etc... [img alt=]http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif Each brochure is held in a punched pocket and stored in a 4-rings binder. But I have huge pile of brochures which aren't filed in a binder and these are stored in a big cardboard box. These are mainly US-letter size because I don't have a correct binder for those, BUT that problem will be solved in November, thanks Mark!! You will make my life a lot easier. I also have a seperate binder for double brochures to swap with other collectors. 3. Where do you keep it [img alt=]http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif At the moment I'm building a custom made cabinet to store the binders and in this cabinet will also be a huge display cabinet and storage room for the empty model boxes. I will start a build topic for that, might be interesting to see. 4. Do you keep an electronic copy, have a website etc... etc... [img alt=]http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/Smileys/default/huh.gif I have an electronic copy of every brochure at 300 dpi, front pages only. Due the fact that I get often requests for an electronic copy, I'm trying to scan all pages of the most interesting brochures. Therefore I have to adjust my website to show more than one page per brochure. (It already works locally on my own computer ). I have my own website www.stapelopfordson.nl for 2,5 years now and I have 300 visitors per month. It took quit a while to make it, because I have written the code myself without any help of software, that's another defect of mine :P I want to know how that works. I have one Excel-file for the costs, I write down how much what brochure has cost, from whom I bought it and to how I and how much sold it (double brochures). I know exactly what my collection has cost... All information about my brochures are stored in a MS Access database. When a new brochure comes in I add this to my database and link it with the correct picture number. I wrote a code which generates automatically new html pages to upload for my website. That makes updating my website a piece of cake. ;D I'm working on online database which will be linked to my website, in this database will added all Ford (first stage) brochures which are known (not only my collection). I want to create a complete overview...... An example of the County table in my database, all these fields are needed to generate my webpages automatically
  4. I've searched some on the internet and I found some answers. In the UK they call these wallets "punched pockets" and in the USA "sheet protectors". About the different sizes: A4 - 210 x 297 mm - 8.27 x 11.69 in US letter - 216 x 279 mm - 8.5 x 11 in Legal - 216 x 356 mm - 8.5 x 14 in Foolscap - 210 x 330 mm - 8.27 x 13 in
  5. Is that MF 860/850 brochure also an "US letter" size sheet protector? Below a photo of my problem... USA protectors versus European binder.
  6. I bought my "sheet protectors" in US letter size on Ebay in the USA. I bought 500 in one sale, so the shipping costs were relative low.. The UK seems a lot cheaper to me, especially as Mark takes them to Zwolle . I have searched a long time in the Netherlands, but they aren't for sale over here. BUT I have the following problem, what binder do you use? My US letter doesn't fit in a regular 2 or 4 rings binder, because they have 3 punch holes
  7. Here the picture, something to look for. They are indeed offered once in a while on Ebay, but not in dutch...
  8. Tekst boven Tekst onder Volgende foto
  9. Now you have the Rotary Cutters series complete I think , nice haul! The AD codes weren't only used for brochures but also for specification sheets (or is that a brochure though) and post cards and maybe some other items...
  10. For the 7000 enthousiasts, a Ford 7000 conversion by Selene.
  11. Sorry, I simply don't have the time to scan all pages of my brochures, maybe in the future... I have these variations in my collection, maybe there are more...
  12. This is indeed the second variation of this particalur brochure. Of the UK and dutch brochures are two or more "front page text" variations concerning: 540/1000 PTO, Dual Power and Load Monitor. I haven't posted all these variations here below.
  13. It is indeed a rare brochure, which doesn't come often for sale. What it's worth, what does a collector want to pay..... There are more, the brochure of Niels below is the most common one with different titles on the front page. In the attachments some more 7000 brochures from Europe, USA and Australia / New Zealand. Are there any more? please let us know!
  14. Good to see more blue brochures! I like that american 2000 - 6000 brochure, unfortunately not yet in my collection :'( , but what size is it, it doesn't seem to be US letter? I hope that you don't archive your brochures anymore by making punch holes?
  15. He Jack, very nice website you found there! Also a big section with brochures and all pages scanned :of What a job that have been, don't want to think about scanning 1000 brochures with mutiple pages, maybe when I'm retired .
  16. Nice haul, you can keep on counting lately . There are loads of Dearborn equipment brochures, so keep on searching for red and white!
  17. What do you think of this MF 1:32 tractor, 2100 USD...... http://cgi.ebay.com/140560309249?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.ebay.com%3A80%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dp5197.m570.l1313%26_nkw%3D140560309249%26_sacat%3DSee-All-Categories%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
  18. Very nice Northrop brochures :of very rare ones. I hope I can find these brochures onetime and add to my collection. For now I'm just drooling.......
  19. Found at Ebay this 1972 Roadless double sided brochure. Another type of brochure I'm used to see of Roadless, not sure about front and rear, so you get both. Jack, nice brochures especially the Super Dexta, I saw them on Ebay and I already thought you would buy them . Good to see you did. Will, great brochures of the 4WD Versatiles. I can still control my self not buying these "non" Ford type, but for how long.... \ Niels, do you collect brochures of every make of tractors?
  20. My latest addition is an Australian County Super-4 brochure. This 2-page brochure is published by a local dealer "Moore Road Machinery". So not an official County brochure, but a nice one. @ Wil, I'm looking forward to your updated list.
  21. Never knew this version existed Any idea for how much it is sold?
  22. At the moment you think "I have all USA brochures from the 100-series", you find a 6600 brochure you don't know. Last week I could buy it on Ebay, it appears to be an American version with code AD-2181-1 68050. That's what I like in collecting brochures: the hunt for unknown brochures . You never know what is published.
