  1. model shops are ok but not all of what you need is 1/32, \ that & you have to pay for it, at least now if i run out i just print some more ! want me to send you some fp, no charge of course !! ;)i`ve got small bales, round bales, 4 different walls corragated cladding & sleepers(of a fashion!)
  2. If youve ever driven a real? 520 loadall flat out? then the thrill of unexpectedly swerving across the road at any given moment certainly gets the adrenalin going ,so it has to be a 520 loadall the others are tame by comparison.
  3. Here`s a few pics of a shed i covered years ago with a couple of demo sheets i scanned the other night in the background. all i did was use paperglue (gloy) just like the stuff used in schools. When it`s wet it looks a bit of a mess,it doesn`t look good until the glue has dried completly

    A Sad Sight.

A freind used to work in africa & the arab states as a mechanic, apparently there are acres of yard space at dealers who literally make good ones from 2-3 bad ones then the left-overs are either scrapped or broken for parts to be used again. Each yard can hold 2-300 tractors. In the arab states david browns were in high demand 1970s-80 & were just lined up along the side of the road miles & miles of them & when it was their turn for repair they just towed them back to the depot & refubished to the working standard that was needed. There are hundreds of them still therejust parked up waiting for their time to come to be dismantled for parts or repaired for work . If i can get the photo`s from him i`ll post them , its quite a sight! \
  5. Yeah they are pretty expensive ,Rice crispies are cheap in comparison & when i`ve finished with it i can put it in the dog bowl !
  6. Not just awsome but multi-story as well !!

? I`ve got a few more pics that i did the other night ,but i`ll not post any more on John C topic pages, i don`t expect i`ll get any gear out for a couple of weeks/months as it was a bit of a shock for the wife to come home from work at 2am in the morning to find the house upsidown & full of farm equipment which has been boxed in the attic for 9-10 yrs or more & me playing the David Bailey !! All the members have got really good layouts so i`m going to play catch up & try to build a permanent layout, if wife allows \. Yes the bales & cladding in the background were montages ,Have e-mailed on so let me know if they work out & may be i`ll send onto any body else who wants some !
  8. As the saying goes you learn something everyday ! thank you.
  9. Cork chippings ? If i cant find any i`ll have to drink a fair bit to fill a trailer load !
  10. I know they`ve come out big here but a printed A4 sheet comes out at the right size .
  11. took a sample of what i needed ,scanned it at A4 size, cloned it with photo-shop ,i now have walls & a shed full of bales !
  12. I`ve tried most things now & i`m running out of ideas, from real grains of wheat (too big)to sand,(too shiney & gritty) the best i`ve come up with is crushed rice crispies ! Any ideas anyone ?

Blimey John C thats quite a set up you have there ! I must try harder !! I like what you`ve done with your barns, they look quite the part with a lean-to on each side & the others don`t look out of place without them either. Hope the fuel tank is coming along, i see your using an old BAUER tank ,well after all the amount of machines you`ve got it wouldn`t take long to empty during a busy period ! I look forward to seeing more. Here`s my bunded fuel tank .
  14. Although it makes a fantastisc model in its own right i think the 600 series cab finishes it perfectly !
  15. NH2 ?;the 5610 decal was marker penned over & was replaced with 7610 with white number transfers bought from boots. The rear wheels are from a cheap New-Ray toy & squared the centers as it`s quite soft plastic & easy to cut. BGU ; sorry i have no spare ramps, thank you for the good words but really these are not what i`d call conversions just modified i`ll leave conversions to the professionals like DT & FP
  16. Years ago i started converting some britains trucks ,have pulled them out of the atic ,what do you think ? should i carry on with them ? as for the last pic Big wheels ,brown ford 6600 I feel a county754 coming on !
  17. Oh yes, its been a FH 900, CLAAS 75, MF 630 & now it`s a NH 819,but hardly a conversion, i built it back in the days when BLU-TACK was king & thats how it`s stayed, NH baler pick up reel blu-tacked to the forager !
  18. That trailer looks very short ,my trailer was taken from the lorry its-self & have no trouble with 4 bales long, unless it`s those daft lades on each end which is the problem !
