Well guys, my dads thinking about moving, some where a bit smaller to ours with about 50 acres or so, but we're in a debate, we're trying to figure out what the perfect tractor would be? Now bear in mind that it will need to be able to pull an 8 ton excavator with a tri-axle low-loader and a 12 ton dump trailer, Now my dads thinking a ford 7840/8340 or a TS115A or maybe even a TS110A ? But we're open to any suggestions! also around the 120 ish hp mark ?

You spent 18 hours discing? your 14? the most i've ever done is 14 hours drawing silage!
-
Chopping silage at a farm today with drag chopper and as soon as school finished i went to cart for them, a tight gate way but i could negotiate it, then the boss came in with his 11 plate 7480 and took the gate stoop out, he then managed to get the gate stoop, DOn't think he'll here the end of it as it's the first accident this season (so far)

Well i can't disgree with what Tris is saying but i want to say this, Yes we are young, but most of us have been brought up around machinery and know the dangers, and we wouldn't be trusted with such a machine if we weren't capable enough would we? also i do alot of jobs in the fields around the yard and i know the limits of the machine!

your right it's classed as an utility vehicle BUT you can legally drive on the road in one if YOU'VE got a tractor licence was asking Ashley today and he said it's one of the many loop holes he always carrys around a bale of hay or something thought so if he does get stopped he's "just going to check the sheep" or he's taking some tools to fix a tractor somewhere
