  1. Due to join the fleet soon is this Valtra 6550 with Stoll loader, seen here in the yard of the previous/current owner:

Her duties are currently being fulfilled by this 6400 with Tanco T100 loader on loan from the dealer, in between literally 'braking' down :)

Get the 7600 on the sprayer - thought she had more than 400hrs :D :D

Thought you'd be the one to stick a post in when I'm not finished yet! >:( >:(>:(

  2. More of a member's fleet really than member's tractor but here goes. This is a pictorial tour of our fleet of 'driveable' machinery, including the two Isuzu jeeps:

First up is the flagship 2001 Valtra 6650 with just over 4000 hrs. Main duties include ploughing, one-passing, spreading fertiliser, mowing, baling and hauling anything that needs to be hauled, but has been known to turn her hand to other things.

  3. I've just had a juvenile moment ;D

Well............I'd love to see and hear this in action, and I bet you will want to try this one out................how about...................squashing bubble wrap. Just imagine the noise..... ;);D:D :D

Aaaaaand.....you are doing the environment a favour by recycling all the air trapped in the bubble wrap. Mind you, it might be that a sheet of bubble wrap could become a collectors item in years to come. Imagine it...........the year......2100........and you have a sheet of pure pre-CO2 air from 2008. Forget the bottles of Champagne and 200 year old bottles of wine, we're talking of a piece of historical, irreplaceable air. By then people may pay hundreds of pounds for you to burst a bubble so they can "Snort" some 92 year old air.

    Cor yeah.

Oh yeah, Marky.........would it work as a wine or cider press, or even do tatties so you could make some potato "Wine" which our Irish friends should have a recipe for. Good stuff it is too.

I am 55 honestly, its just that sometimes I have these flashbacks and juvenile moments.  :D

As you would say,.................I'll get my coat...............Bye!   ;D:)

    It's called Poteen ;D ;D ;D

  4. Local farmer and keen Valtra owner has just picked this up, his fleet consists of:

    Silver Valtra T180

    Blue Valtra T140

    Blue Valtra T160

Red Valtra T170 (Sold last week)

    Blue Valtra 6650

    Green Valmet 6400

    Red Valtra N series

    Blue Valtra C Series.

    That's my kind of farmer!!! :P :P

  5. I suppose you could class this as POS. A recent eBay purchase. I bought it from the original seller who only had a poor picture of one of the other, Fiat half track, items. The other items were re-listed by the new owner with good photo's, I was unable to secure any of them :(

This is how it arrived with only the one foldout  wing section. The buyer who re-listed the other items described it as being made for the 1982 Toy Fair. Model is held on to base by wire through four holes. The logo and other markings appear to be cut from a box! Model No. and suggested retail price shown on base with a number 6 for what I cannot imagine ??? The box is specific to this item and going by the letter K on it there were at least 10 other items to go with it  ;) There were a lot of new releases in 1982.

    IMG_20080302_2320.jpg

Perhaps 6 was the number of boxes in a case/carton?

    scan0002-2.jpg

We'll have to get that put up as Marky's profile picture :D :D :D

  6. What would you do only for me  :D :D

Often wonder do the buyers check they are working in the first place as some i know that have been sold for export are dead rough :(

Heard once they really only want the chassis and engine as all the seives and walkers etc are stripped out and rice gear is put in instead ;)

Wonder why the cab wasn't taken off that 8000 series though ???

    Try: www.mannerscombineparts.co.uk

    as well ;)

It was taken off, you can see that it was the last bit put in, after the engine. Get your glasses checked young man!!! :D :D

  7. intresting machine ol, being trailed ar ethey easier to use then?? do you still need a big machine to use it like a normal 8 furrow reversable or can you get away with a smaller machine to tow it

I'd say you'd want something pretty heavy to pull a plough like that as there wouldn't be any weight transfer to the tractor wheels as with a mounted or semi-mounted plough

  8. ah but the trailin shoe comes with a yoke on the top forget the name of it but it chops everythin that goes through it the only thing that it doesnt like r dry cow tubes,it jus slices them in half they wud still block the pipes  :o

It's called a macerator, apparently they're pretty easy to block too
